🏗️ Construction is changing — and women are at the heart of that change.

The CoHer – ConstructHer Future project, coordinated from Ireland with 7 partners across 7 countries, is fundamentally transforming vocational education and training (VET) for women in construction.

What we've achieved so far:
✅ 6 curriculum modules developed
✅ 6 specialised mini-courses designed
✅ 238 pilot participants engaged
✅ International workshop held in Dalaman, Turkey
✅ Mentorship programme launched

As of April 2026, the project is entering its final phase — and all materials are freely available as Open Educational Resources.

Construction isn't only about bricks and concrete. It's also about the women who design it, manage it, and shape its future. 🧱👩‍🔬

🎓 CoHER Project Pilot Testing in Action! 🏗️
We're excited to share a glimpse from our recent pilot testing session of the ConstructHER Future curriculum!
Our mini-course pilot testing "Dijital İnşaat Kariyerleri: Kazma Küreğin Ötesi" (Discovering Digital Careers in Construction: Beyond the Trowel and Hammer) was delivered at Adile İhsan Mermerci Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, helping young female students understand how technology is transforming the construction sector.
This pilot testing phase is crucial for ensuring our curriculum meets the real needs of vocational education in the construction industry. We're gathering valuable feedback from both educators and students to refine and improve our training materials before the full rollout.
🌍 The CoHER Project aims to modernize vocational education in construction across Europe, making it more inclusive, digital, and future-ready.

The "New Dimension in Tourism Sector Training" project is built on several fundamental missions, such as innovative curriculum development, creating new digital tools, and fostering sustainable practices for the future of tourism.

Beside these core objectives, a key pillar of the project is ensuring our results reach the widest possible audience. In this context, PIXIE Academy is proud to be leading all Dissemination and Social Media Operations! Our mission is to build a vibrant community and share the valuable training materials developed by all partners with tourism professionals across Europe and beyond.

Get ready for one of our first major initiatives: the launch of the project's official podcast series! We're especially excited to share our expertise in Episode 7, where we will lead the discussion on a topic at the core of our values: Module 6 - Inclusive and Accessible Tourism. Just because the summer is over doesn't mean the work stops! 🍂 We're throwing it back to our incredible ConstructHer Future project meeting this past July in Lublin, Poland. 🇵🇱

Hosted by our fantastic partner Fundacja "Fundusz Inicjatyw", this intensive workshop was a pivotal moment for our project. We brought together experts from across Europe to build the foundation for our Educator Training Program.

Looking back, the progress since July has been amazing! The strategies we developed for gender-inclusive teaching, along with the innovative tools we piloted, have been directly shaping the curriculum modules and mini-courses that our partners are currently creating.

The energy from that workshop continues to drive us forward as we finalize these resources. It’s a powerful reminder that collaborative, hands-on work is key to building a more inclusive future for women in construction.

A huge thank you again to our hosts and all partners! We're excited to share the results of this work with you all very soon. 💪👷‍♀️🚀

Our team from Pixie Academy is back from an incredible week in Lunca Bisericii, Alba, Romania 🇷🇴 for the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, "SustainaSync" (SincronSustenabil)!

Together with 48 young people from Romania, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, and Slovakia, we dived deep into what it means to live sustainably. We explored eco-friendly practices, rediscovered the beauty of rural heritage, and shared unforgettable adventures in nature. 🌳 hikes, hands-on workshops, and intercultural nights made this a truly transformative experience.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for the amazing energy and new friendships! We've returned to Turkey 🇹🇷 full of inspiration and new ideas. Stay tuned as we share more stories from our journey!

🏗️ The Future of Construction is Here – But Who is Building It?

Think about construction. What do you see? Hard hats and heavy machinery?

Think again. Today, construction is also about digital blueprints on tablets, sustainable materials that protect our planet, and smart collaboration that brings incredible designs to life.

The entire industry is transforming. But as we build a new future, we have to ask a critical question: Is everyone invited to build it with us?

🔧 The New Construction Site Needs New Skills:
🔹 Digital Minds: Using BIM, drones, and AI to plan and build smarter.
🔹 Green Innovators: Applying sustainable practices and green technologies.
🔹 Holistic Leaders: Valuing teamwork, communication, and creative problem-solving.

❓ But Where Are the Women?
Are young women being shown these exciting new career paths? Do they have access to modern VET programs that teach these skills? Are workplaces ready to welcome their talent and leadership?

🚧 Too often, the door is still closed.
🔸 Outdated stereotypes create invisible barriers.
🔸 VET programs can be slow to adapt, failing to highlight these new opportunities.
🔸 Young women don't see role models they can relate to.

🛠️ Real transformation must be inclusive. That's where CoHer comes in.

The ConstructHer Future project is working across Europe to reshape construction VET. We are developing a new, inclusive curriculum and support systems to ensure that young women have the skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive and lead in the modern construction industry.

💡 From innovative ideas to tangible tools! Here's what the project will create:

Our main goal is to design and develop integrated training solutions for the tourism sector. To do this, we are working on several key results:

📚 An Innovative Training Curriculum: We'll develop comprehensive training materials focused on the technological and sustainable skills needed in today's tourism industry.

💻 A MOOC Platform: An open online course platform to make our training accessible to tourism professionals everywhere, developed by our partner Associació Meraki.

📱 A Mobile Application: A user-friendly app for both Android and iOS to support professionals on the go, developed by our partner KIST Consult.

🗺️ Immersive Digital Tours: We will create digital tours using AR and AI to promote the unique history and culture of our partner regions, led by INTERSIC.
