On December 3 each year we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. In 1981 the United Nations proclaimed this as a recognised day for the celebration of the achievements of people living with disabilities across the world.

Hello my dear ESNFamily! Now is the time for Social Inclusion Days! Here is our calendar for these amazing two weeks!

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, passed away on the 10th of November in 1938 at the Dolmabahçe Palace in İstanbul.


Every year at 09:05 AM on the 10th of November Turks stand still with a moment of silence. Flags fly at half-mast, traffic stops throughout the whole country, and sirens blare.


Throughout the day, many memorial ceremonies take place across the country. People visit Atatürk’s Mausoleum Anıtkabir in the capital Ankara, and Dolmabahçe Palace to commemorate him.


Our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk shall always be in our hearts and thoughts. We will remember him and his accomplishments with great respect.

International Sign Language Day is a day that attracts the attention of those using Sign Language to express themselves. 👀🤩
Celebrating this special day, it is aimed to seek the rights of the hearing impaired people and to enable them to learn the sign language. It is also important to prepare the ground for them to strengthen their social positions in the society in an equal way with everyone else.
Let’s hear them out beyond the words, and spread the awareness about Sign Language! 🙌🏻👋🏻
