Fabric Form|C.A.S.T. Workshop at METU Fabric Form|C.A.S.T. Workshop at METU Fabric Form is a workshop that will be organized at METU Faculty of Architecture. ORGANIZERS:
C.A.S.T.

Mark West, the founder of C.A.S.T. -research center at University of Manitoba- will be the coordinator of the workshop. The duration of the workshop is three days and during the workshop with the coordination of Mark West 30 students will be working hands on. In addition to workshop Mark West will also give conference on the production of fabric form at Chamber of Architects Ankara Branch. At the

end of the workshop the final works will be exhibited at METU Faculty of Architecture. Center for Architectural Structures and Technology

“MOLDING WITH TEXTILE” workshop was held by Ayşegül Akçay and Türkan Nihan Hacıömeroğlu at METU Faculty of Architecture on May 2nd. “Molding with Textile” is the 5th of the workshop series within “Architectural Modeling” course at METU. 14 students participated to workshop and they worked hands on with plaster and wooden molds. The main aim of the workshop was the construction of form using textile and plaster. Students tried different approaches within materials in order to test how form works with textile. They experienced the materials strength and understood how form can be generated within textile molding.
