On 12-13 May 2022 the IXth Graduate Symposium of the Settlement Archaeology program was held. It was very refreshing to be able to come together in person and share knowledge.
We would like to thank the organizers; Yeşim Alkan, Merve Günal, Oluyinka Olufemi, Bora Bakrıyanık and Ezgi Sevimli who were led by Dr. Dries Daems for making this such a successful event.
Thank you also to participants from our department and all who volunteered to help.
The final discussion session led by Dr. Dries Daems and Dr. Tuna Kalaycı showed how much more academic brainstorming we need to advance our thinking "beyond borders”.
