Zach Vertin, a former US diplomat in Obama’s administration, visited HASS to conduct a consultation on a project regarding the Horn of Africa region. He was joined by HASS’s executive director, Abdurezack Hussein (Ph.D.), and three other specialists of the Horn of Africa, including Muzeyin Hawas (Ph.D.), the deputy director of HASS, Mukerrem Miftah (Ph.D.), an assistant professor at Institute of Eastern and African Studies, Social Sciences University of Ankara , and Idris Yeba, doctoral candidate at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University.
