NIHA In order to achieve these goals, NIHA regularly organizes several seminars and events and participates / carries out various projects.

NIHA Foundation mainly operates within the fields of academic programmes between the Netherlands and Turkey, study in Holland desk, internship coordination desk and vocational education centre. The Netherlands – Turkey Higher Education and Vocational Education Foundation (NIHA Foundation), which was formerly known as Netherlands Institute for Higher Education, was founded in December 21st, 2006 by

the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Its main activity fields are the academic programmes between the Netherlands and Turkey, study in Holland desk, internship coordination desk and vocational education centre. Beyond the focal areas, NIHA also operates to strengthen the relations between Turkey and the Netherlands in the fields of Water Management, Energy, Green sector (Agriculture and Horticulture), Life Sciences and (Elderly) Care, EU and Youth Networks, Mediation and Conflict Management, Tourism and Hospitality, History and Heritage, Creative Industry, Early Childhood Development and Migration and Identity. NIHA is administered by the Leiden University.
