The Moro Memoirs Webinar Series opens a learning space for students, teachers, researchers, cultural workers, youth leaders, LGUs, and heritage advocates to explore Moro history, identity, memory, resistance, culture, and living heritage.
This series brings together scholars, researchers, and community voices to help us understand the Moro experience through different lenses — from history and maps to cultural expression, local memory, peace journeys, and stories of preservation.

Alhamdulillah, 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟰𝟰𝟳 𝗔𝗛 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) the 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the Sisters’ Itikaaf Program titled “𝗨𝘀𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗹-𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗻” under the 𝗔𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 was successfully conducted within the sacred grounds of the 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲. 𝟳𝟬 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 — seeking not the dunya, but the pleasure of Allah (SWT).

The program began with a heartfelt Qur’an recitation by Hafidha Princess Shajanie, followed by the Opening Remarks from Kaka Nada O. Ali, the Program Head. She beautifully emphasized the essence of the gathering — to strengthen our sisterhood and to remain steadfast in seeking gatherings that are solely for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). A Taaruf session then followed, fostering connection and familiarity among the participants.

The 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗾𝗮𝗵, where participants were divided into two groups led by 𝗛𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲. The circles were filled with 𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗵, as the recitation of the Qur’an echoed with sincerity. SubhanAllah.

𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗮 delivered by 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗮, 𝗦𝗖𝗟. With the topic ““𝗙𝗶𝗾𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲,” she reminded every Muslimah especially those engaged in volunteerism to 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘘𝘶𝘳’𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘢𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴.

The program was further graced with an awarding ceremony and the giving of tokens of appreciation to the speakers. Flowers and simple hadiya were also shared with the participants as a gesture of gratitude and love.

It 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗮𝗿 at the mosque grounds, surrounded by a breathtaking view of the Masjid.

𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒂𝒏 1447 𝑨𝑯

The Moro International Student Association (MISA), in partnership with the University of Mindanao Muslim Association for Harmony (UMMAH), successfully hosted a daily Iftar Program on March 6, 2026, at the University of Mindanao in Davao City.

The event brought together Muslim students currently enrolled at the university, fostering a sense of unity, spiritual reflection, and communal solidarity during the holy month of Ramadhan. This initiative forms part of MISA’s continuing efforts to extend support to those in need while actively undertaking meaningful programs throughout the sacred period.

The success of the event highlights MISA’s unwavering commitment and dedication to serving the Muslim community, reaching even distant areas such as Davao, and strengthening bonds among students through faith and shared purpose.

𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 | 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

After having a series of Ramadhan activities, the volunteers and alumni of the Moro International Students Association Inc., guided by its Executive Director, Sir Hamdan Yacob, RAgri, had their post-evaluation meeting last March 17, 2026, at 5BC cafe, Cotabato City.

The meeting began with the recognition of the program heads for each Ramadhan activity. It was then followed by the presentation of accomplished initiatives by the heads.

Gybryl Sing Sing, the program head of Masjid Iftar, carefully presented their successful visitation of twelve (12) Masajid, with a total of 1,000 recipients of free iftar meals. Meanwhile, Bai Usamina Datumanong, the program head of CommUNITY Iftar, which includes Street Iftar, also presented how they carry out the distribution of iftar meals to five (5) locations around Cotabato City and nearby places.

Furthermore, Jomaila Dalinding, the program head of the Ramadhan Symposium, and Nada O. Ali, represented by Rahaja Guiapar, the program head of the MISA Grand Iftar, also had their reports on their respective activities.

After which, the giving of constructive feedback and action points were given by the MISA executive director and other volunteers in attendance.

In conclusion, the meeting was fruitful and was ended as the volunteers and alumni shared their iftar meals as soon as the time of breaking of fast arrived.

The Moro International Student Association, in partnership with 𝑹𝒊𝑩𝑨𝑻 , successfully held a Grand Iftar on March 15, 2026, at Grand Mosque Kalangan, Cotabato City, bringing together 500 orphans and students from Markadz to break their fast in unity.

The program featured a welcome by MISA Executive Director Hamdan A. Yacob, followed by the rationale from RiBAT Brother Enes, and messages of support from MP Suharto Esmael, BYC Chairman Nasserudin Dunding, and MISA General Secretary Datu Abdulshattar Zailon II.

An inspiring talk by Attorney Khalid Bhen Mero, joyful raffle prizes for guests, and closing remarks by Chairman Deedat Midtimbang made the evening truly meaningful.

𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟏𝟒𝟒𝟕 𝐀𝐇 | 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗳𝘁𝗮𝗿 ㅤ

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟏𝟒, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — The Program Committee on CommUNITY Iftar, together with its dedicated volunteers, successfully conducted the 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 of CommUNITY Iftar, along with the distribution of food packages to Markadz Mariam Litahfidhil Qur’anil Kareem Inc. at Don Cesar St., Poblacion 3, Cotabato City, BARMM.

A total of 41 students, together with their ustadzas, were served 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 along with 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 during the remaining days of Ramadhan. 𝗔𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵, 𝗔𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵.

Free dresses were also given to the students, including orphan students, sponsored by 𝗭𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿, 𝗔𝗭𝗟 20𝗞 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵.

For this blessed month of Ramadhan, we successfully conducted five CommUNITY Iftar activities, headed by Bai Usamina Datumanong, together with our dedicated volunteers.

CommUNITY Iftar breakdown:

● February 27, 2026 — 8Z, Cotabato City
● March 3, 2026 — Tamontaka, Cotabato City
● March 10, 2026 — Gang SK, Maguindanao
● March 14, 2026 — Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, along with the 13 posts of our mujahideen
