For those travelling to Auckland New Zealand next week for the 79th Anniversary Celebrations, you're invited to our final Choir Practice and 'Faiva Practice' today at 7PM at Tonga High School 2026 Hall, and also on Thursday 28th May 2026 at 7PM. It will be great if you can join us during our last practices before the actual celebration next week.

Dear Ex-students,

For those that are confirmed to be travelling together with our Ex-students Council for the 79th Anniversary Celebration in Auckland, New Zealand from 4th to 7th June 2026, YOU are invited to join us at Tonga High School 2026 Hall, 7PM tomorrow, Thursday 30th April 2026. This gathering is to start preparing for the programs during the celebration as we will be representing the Tonga Chapter!

So tomorrow night, we will start with our choir practice that will be led by Council's Secretary, Bessie Baker! We want you to come with your best singing voice 😅and if we only have 5 people attending, koe hiva maika quintet ai p*e e toko 5 ia koia 🤣

PS: If you're not sure whether you'll be travelling — just come along and we'll brainstorm a way for us all to travel (subject to NZ Visa and any local visa 😜approval 😁)

Dear Tonga Chapter Ex-students,

Please note the latest update on the 79th Anniversary Programme, which will be hosted by the High School Ex Students NZ Association from 4th - 7th June 2026!

For those that will be travelling to the celebration in New Zealand, please contact our Ex-student Office or Tevita Vahai / Bessie Baker to confirm that you will be travelling and weʻll note your name as part of the Tonga Chapter Delegation.

📣Also watch this page as we will be calling a meeting early next week for those that will travel to NZ, ke fakakakato ʻa e teuteu as part of our preparation for the trip (e.g. An item mo haʻa tau kau hiva for the pō lotu). For those that wants an invitation letter to support their NZ application, note that this is available from our office at Tonga High School during work hours or from any of the council members.

To'uako 1980/81 -1987 and THS ex-student council conducted a combined failotu at the Wake Funeral of Fekitafolau Fangaloka on the evening 2nd January 2026 at his residence at Fanga I Pilolevu. The boys continued throughout the night staying back at the wake and also at the Malaga and burial.
