Two weeks ago we welcomed Karim Jouini, founder and CEO of Expensya and we discussed the importance of making partnership with large companies to fuel the growth of startups.

Today, Tunisia's most advanced startup, Expensya has leveraged deals with a variety of large companies in France ranging from large consultancies to telecom operators to gain a foothold in the French market and experience growth and raised 1M€.

If valuation negotiations are your biggest grievance as an entrepreneur, there’s a simple formula that Datavora used and Zaher proposes, to deal with difficult conversations: “We showcased [to the investors] how we can run the company and, at the end of the day, how we can make money,” he says. “I think founders need to be soothing [clear] with their ability to run the company, and their ability to find, share, show and defend common interests with their investors and shareholders. At that point, all the discussion about valuation, strategies, and perspectives become easy and natural.”

With a proprietary technology, the startup "crawls" websites and marketplaces to collect e-commerce data on a global scale, and analyzes and interprets results in real-time to aid decision-making.

NoBS Talk #4 - Product management in emerging markets with Dianna Yau.

Dianna Yau our guest at the 4th edition of NoBS Talk shared with us her recipe for success launching and scaling products and services based on her experiences working for Google, IBM and Facebook. Dianna emphasized that use of data through A/B testing, user research and market research is a focal point for success. By detailing examples on how these techniques are applied in big tech companies, a discussion has been engaged with the local PM's and founders on how to leverage data in their context to build and scale products.
