American Corner Tunis, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Tunis, hosted a Teacher Training Workshop titled โPractical Strategies for Smarter Teaching and Learning with AI,โ led by OPEN Alumnus and experienced educator Atef Chouaibi.
๐ก Under Mr. Chouaibiโs guidance, participants explored human-centered approaches to AI integration in education. The session introduced the SAMR model, effective prompting techniques, and practical ways to use AI tools to support learner engagement and meaningful classroom practice.

๐ Under the guidance of Amideast teacher Hiba Rebhi, the program brought together students and banking professionals in a collaborative learning environment focused on English for the banking sector and workplace communication skills.

๐ค American Corner Tunis, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Tunis, hosted a hybrid roundtable discussion with MeetUS Program speaker Mrs. Robin Porter on supporting students with Down syndrome and autism.
๐ The discussion explored the different categories of disabilities to allow teachers to better identify learner needs. Mrs. Porter shared her teacher tools with the participants as well as practical strategies for classroom adaptation to support inclusive and accessible learning.
๐ We extend our heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Porter for her insightful discussion and to the U.S. Embassy Tunis for making this event possible. We also extend our gratitude to all attendees for their participation and engagement.

American Corner Tunis, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Tunis, hosted a teacher training workshop on fostering learner motivation in ESP classrooms, led by OPEN Program alumna Mongia El Abed.
๐ก Under the guidance of Mrs. El Abed, participants explored the EXPERT Framework, a state of the art structured approach developed through her research. Participants applied the framework through lesson planning, integrating Padlet and AI prompting techniques.
โจWe thank Mrs. Mongia El Abed for the insightful workshop and for sharing the results of her research with participants. We also thank the educators for their presence and active engagement.

๐ขThe American Corner Tunis, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Tunis, is pleased to invite English language teachers to a free training workshop on Practical Strategies for Smarter Teaching and Learning with AI.
The session will take place on Friday, May 8th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is limited to 25 participants.
This workshop will explore practical ways to integrate Artificial Intelligence into EFL teaching, including lesson planning, personalized learning materials, and student engagement strategies through hands on examples.
The workshop will be facilitated by Mr. Atef Chouaibi, OPEN Alumnus, experienced EFL teacher, and teacher trainer with extensive expertise in language education and educational technology integration.

The American Corner Tunis, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Tunis, hosted a U.S. Speaker Program session on Responding to Substance Use: Best Practices for Healthcare Providers, led by Dr. Alex Elswick.
๐ Special thanks to Dr. Elswick for leading this insightful session and sharing his expertise on recovery and the importance of mental health in the process.
Through an engaging discussion, participants explored recovery as a long-term process and reflected on the role of behavioral change in reducing relapse risk. The session provided a space for professional exchange on the approaches to substance use treatment in Tunisia and the United States.
