🟠Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar will host the 2nd Summer School of the Erasmus+ EduGame project – “VR Story Design Challenge”, which will take place from 23rd to 27th March 2026 at Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.

🟢The Summer School will bring together students, teachers and researchers from several European universities, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences in the fields of digital educational technologies, gamification, and the application of virtual reality (VR) in education. The programme includes a series of lectures, workshops, mentoring sessions and project presentations delivered by experts from international partner institutions participating in the Erasmus+ EduGame project.

🧩🎮We present a newsletter (University of Bihać – Bosnia and Herzegovina) on the EduGame project, highlighting workshops that integrate serious games, gamification, and virtual reality into teacher and language education.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) organized an event aimed at exploring digitalization opportunities for businesses. The scientists of the VMU Faculty of Informatics presented the innovations being developed at the university and the ongoing projects to businesses and the public sector. Among them, the EduGame project was introduced to business representatives by Judita Kasperiūnienė, a representative of the coordinating institution – VMU.

Yesterday we wrapped up the 1st EduGAME Summer School “Enhancing Education through Gamification and Artificial Intelligence” (22–26 September 2025) in Sousse, Tunisia, hosted by our wonderful colleagues at the Université de Sousse.

From Lithuania, Dr. Judita Kasperiuniene and Dr. Natalija Mazeikiene from Vytautas Magnus University took part in the programme, which brought together international researchers, teachers, and students. Throughout the week, participants engaged in keynotes, interactive workshops, sessions, and the international IPEN symposium – all exploring how gamification and artificial intelligence can transform education. A real highlight was the EducaThon: an intensive challenge where students from computer science and education worked together to design innovative games for sustainable education. This interdisciplinary teamwork showed how powerful it can be when technology and pedagogy meet.

The EduGAME project, funded by Erasmus+ CBHE and coordinated by the Faculty of Informatics at Vytautas Magnus University, is working to modernize bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes by integrating gamification and game-based learning. Its goal is to prepare future teachers with the skills to foster human rights, democracy, and social cohesion through innovative education.

From 22–26 September 2025, the Summer School “Enhancing Education through Gamification and Artificial Intelligence” is hosted by our colleagues at the ISITCom. Throughout the week, university professors and their students will explore the integration of serious games and AI in education through keynotes, workshops, and collaborative activities, including the EducaThon – a hands-on challenge to design educational games for sustainable development.

VDU Faculty of Informatics, as the coordinator of the Erasmus+ CBHE project EduGAME – Serious Games for Creativity and Social Cohesion in Teacher Education, is proud to lead EduGame together with partner universities from Spain Politècnica de València (UPV), Italy Università degli Studi di Salerno, Albania Aleksandër Xhuvani University of Elbasan and University of Tirana, Bosnia and Herzegovina University of Bihać, University Džemal Bijedić Mostar and Université de Jendouba and University of Sousse, Tunisia. The EduGAME project aims to modernize teacher education curricula in the social sciences, humanities, and IT by introducing innovative pedagogical technologies that foster human rights, democracy, and social cohesion. The Summer School in Tunisia represents an important milestone in this journey, strengthening international cooperation and equipping educators and students with new skills for the future of learning.
