American Corner Sousse The American Corner Sousse is a cultural and information center open to the Tunisian public. Funded by the U.S. culture and values.

The American Corner in Sousse is a cultural and information center that provide free and open access for the greater Sousse community to learn more about the United States, develop skills, and access a wide range of resources. Department of State and hosted at Amideast, the American Corner offers a welcoming environment in which visitors can explore and share ideas, access information, and participate in activities that develop professional skills or provide educational opportunities. American Spaces are also places to meet and engage American citizens in person or virtually to learn more about U.S.

📚 On September 11, the American Corner Sousse hosted the workshop “Accessible English Language Teaching for Blind and Visually Impaired Learners: Practical Strategies from Classroom Practice” as part of our Teacher Training Workshop Series on Accessibility in the Classroom.

During the workshop, participants explored Braille, learned how letters are represented through raised dots, practiced the Braille alphabet, and experienced some of the accessibility challenges learners may face in the classroom. They also learned about practical, multisensory strategies and simple classroom adaptations that can make their classrooms more accessible.

🔊 The American Corner Sousse in collaboration with IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Chapter - EPS Student Branch (IEEE RAS EPS SB) will offer a free introductory Robotics workshop on Saturday, September 19th from 2PM until 4:30 PM at the American Corner Sousse.
🤖In this hands-on workshop, participants will build a four-wheel-drive robotic car from scratch, learning how its electronic components work and programming it to perform basic movements. They will then develop a simple mobile application to control the robot remotely using a smartphone. Through assembling, wiring, programming, testing, and troubleshooting, participants will gain practical experience in robotics, electronics, programming, and app development while creating a functional project they can demonstrate and further develop.
