Weโ€™re proud to announce that IEEE MSE SB participated in TSYP 13 and secured ๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd place in the IEEE Ethics Competition, earning a $200 IEEE fund prize ๐ŸŽ‰
This achievement is truly special:

We are delighted to share that our student Eya Guesmi took part in the high-level training workshop held from 1 to 5 December 2025, organized by the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) in partnership with the University of Twente.

This workshop focused on Cloud Computing and advanced algorithms for Earth Observation data, offering participants hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and methods used in environmental monitoring.

This training is part of the Europeโ€“Africa cooperation framework through the EO AFRICA R&D Facility, an initiative supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) aimed at strengthening the capacities of African researchers and experts in geospatial data processing and sustainable natural resource management.

โœจ We congratulate Eya for representing the Manouba School of Engineering with excellence and for her continued engagement in the GeoAI and Earth Observation fields. Such opportunities reflect our school's commitment to empowering young talents and fostering strong international collaborations.

๐ŸŒ Manouba School of Engineering โ€“ International Engagement & Student Excellence ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

We are proud to highlight our students Khaled Cheniour, Ghassen Ben Ftima, and Nour Abbouz, who are currently taking part in an academic mobility program in Italy within the framework of โ€œThe Impact โ€“ EU Next Generationโ€, organized by Roma Tre University under the theme โ€œKnowledge Without Borders.โ€

On November 24, 2025, they had the honor of attending the official presentation ceremony of the program, in the presence of Mr. Marouane El Kaboullouti, Consul of the Republic of Tunisia in Rome, invited by the Vice-Dean of Roma Tre University.

During his address, the Consul emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, multilateral cooperation, and the vital role of higher education in strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding among nations. He also recalled the national initiative declaring 2025 as a year dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue and international cooperation.

The Consul met with the Tunisian students participating in the program, listened to their experiences and aspirations, and encouraged them to proudly represent Tunisia and showcase the excellence of our academic institutions. Our students expressed their appreciation for this meeting and for the continuous support provided by the Tunisian diplomatic mission.

๐Ÿ‘ At the Manouba School of Engineering, we salute the dedication, international openness, and ambition of Khaled, Ghassen, and Nour. Their active participation in this prestigious European program reflects the quality of our training and our commitment to fostering global academic opportunities for our students.

The Manouba School of Engineering (MSE) is pleased to announce the opening of one (1) full-time Remote Sensing Expert contract within the international Biodiversa+ project โ€œSaltyBEATS: bringing back BiodivErsity in mArginal Saltlands.โ€

This engineering contract (starting December 15th, 2025) offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a high-impact international research effort focused on soil salinization, biodiversity, and sustainable land management.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Main Responsibilities: โ€ข Design and implement Earth Observation workflows to map soil salinity, vegetation dynamics, and habitat heterogeneity
โ€ข Develop and validate remote sensing indicators for halophyte diversity and ecosystem functional traits
โ€ข Build user-friendly tools to facilitate the interpretation of environmental data
โ€ข Contribute to scientific outputs (datasets, methods, publications) and support knowledge transfer across the consortium

๐ŸŽ“ Required Profile:
Candidates must hold an engineering or masterโ€™s degree in Remote Sensing or Geomatics, with solid skills in:
โœ” Multispectral & SAR image processing (Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, UAVโ€ฆ)
โœ” Python, R, and geospatial software (GIS tools, Google Earth Engine)
โœ” Data preprocessing and environmental analysis

๐ŸŒฟ Amazing Ecophysiology Class at MSE! ๐ŸŒฟ

Today, our students at the Manouba School of Engineering (MSE) had the privilege of attending an exceptional Ecophysiology session delivered by our guest lecturer Dr. Nadia Bazihizina from the University of Florence (Italy).

Her insightful contribution brought a fresh international perspective to the course, enriching our studentsโ€™ scientific knowledge and exposing them to cutting-edge research in plant eco-physiology.

๐ŸŒ This event reflects the strong international openness of MSE, continuously expanding collaborations with renowned universities and researchers worldwide to offer our students high-quality learning experiences and global academic exposure.
