coaching. My 25 years as director of The Pines Preschool helped expand my skills from the multicultural education of students to educating parents from around the world. I coach parents on how to apply good parenting practices and how to improve communication skills through a better understanding of their children’s needs and behaviors. Through coaching, I help parents improve their relationship with their children and each other. My experiences working with a variety of cultures and languages make me adaptable and very effective. I excel in listening to parent’s concerns, gaining their confidence and advising them in a caring, non-judgmental environment. I am able to identify positive parenting practices that will best help their specific family situation. I see beyond the short-term problems to the longer-term potential of the child.
