We are excited to be back at Bulla Regia after four long years away! This year we are collaborating with the DAI and will finish off our excavations at the cemetery church AND excavate part of the medieval town.
A tri-national collaboration between the INP (Tunisia), DAI (Germany) and UCL (UK) directed by Moheddine Chaouali, Corisande Fenwick and Philipp von Rummel.

Work is well under way on site, with mosaics being prepared to be lifted, and a large extension has just been opened in our cemetery trench. Exciting!

The 2018 INP-UCL field season at Bulla Regia focused on the excavation of a late antique Christian cemetery.

The Tunisian-British project at Bulla Regia directed by Moheddine Chaouali and Corisande Fenwick is a collaboration between the INP and UCL and funded by a grant from the Society for Libyan Studies.
