🔎✈️ ICAO BEHAVIOUR DETECTION COURSE | 24–28 AUGUST 2026
The ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre (ICAO ASTC) in Tunis is pleased to announce the opening of the Behaviour Detection Course, taking place from 24 to 28 August 2026, for a group of aviation professionals from Petro Air – Libya.
🎯 Course Objectives
The Behaviour Detection Course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to identify abnormal or suspicious behaviour and respond appropriately to potential threat indicators, without relying solely on technical equipment.
The course focuses on:
🔹 Enhancing security awareness and the ability to recognize behaviours that may indicate malicious intent or unlawful activity;
🔹 Developing observation and behavioural analysis skills in sensitive security environments, including airports, screening points and border crossings;
🔹 Supporting a proactive security approach by focusing on human behaviour as an initial potential indicator of a threat;
🔹 Contributing to the early detection of potential threats before they develop into security incidents.
👥 The course is intended for professionals working in public security or civil aviation security, with relevant professional experience in security and a sound understanding of basic security procedures.
🌍 This training reflects the commitment of the ICAO ASTC Tunis to strengthening the professional competencies of aviation security personnel and developing human capabilities as a key component of an effective and proactive aviation security system.

🔎✈️ دورة الكشف عن السلوك | 24 – 28 أوت 2026

يسرّ المركز الإقليمي للتدريب في أمن وسلامة الطيران المدني لمنظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (الإيكاو) بتونس الإعلان عن افتتاح دورة الكشف عن السلوك، التي تُنظّم خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 28 أوت 2026، لفائدة عدد من الإطارات المهنية التابعة لشركة طيران النفط – ليبيا.

🎯 أهداف الدورة

تهدف دورة الكشف عن السلوك إلى تزويد المشاركين بالمعارف والمهارات اللازمة لتمييز السلوكيات غير الطبيعية أو المشبوهة والتعامل مع مؤشرات التهديد، دون الاعتماد حصراً على المعدات التقنية.

وتتمحور الدورة حول:

🔹 تعزيز الوعي الأمني لدى المشاركين وتمكينهم من التعرّف على السلوكيات التي قد تشير إلى نية خبيثة أو نشاط غير مشروع؛

🔹 تطوير مهارات المراقبة والتحليل السلوكي في البيئات الأمنية الحساسة، بما في ذلك المطارات ونقاط التفتيش والمعابر الحدودية؛

🔹 دعم النهج الأمني الاستباقي من خلال التركيز على السلوك البشري باعتباره مؤشراً أولياً محتملاً على وجود تهديد؛

🔹 المساهمة في الكشف المبكر عن التهديدات المحتملة قبل أن تتطور إلى أفعال أو حوادث أمنية.

👥 تستهدف الدورة المهنيين العاملين في مجال الأمن العام أو أمن الطيران المدني، ممن تتوفر لديهم خبرة مهنية في العمل الأمني وإلمام بأساسيات الإجراءات الأمنية.

🌍 وتندرج هذه الدورة في إطار جهود المركز الإقليمي للتدريب في أمن وسلامة الطيران المدني لمنظمة الطيران المدني الدولي بتونس الرامية إلى تطوير الكفاءات المهنية وتعزيز القدرات البشرية في مجال أمن الطيران، باعتبارها عنصراً أساسياً في منظومة أمن طيران فعّالة واستباقية.

The ICAO GSI AIR course provides Airworthiness Inspectors and aviation safety oversight professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to conduct the certification of Air Operators and Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) in accordance with ICAO SARPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
Through practical, scenario-based exercises, participants apply the five-phase certification process, covering document evaluation, inspections, compliance findings and certification reporting.

🌍✈️ Two ICAO training sessions, one shared ambition: strengthening professional capabilities for a smoother, more efficient and more connected aviation sector!
🎓 Today in Tunis, we celebrate the successful completion of two ICAO training sessions dedicated to Annex 9 – Facilitation, held from 10 to 14 August 2026 at AFSAC – ICAO ASTC Tunis.
✨ The sessions brought together aviation professionals and senior civil aviation officials from different regions of the world, with participants from Chad, Burkina Faso, Burundi and Armenia.
🌍 This diversity of countries, professional backgrounds and experiences contributed to rich discussions and valuable exchanges of best practices on the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) contained in Annex 9 – Facilitation.
🎯 Throughout the training, participants strengthened their understanding of international air transport facilitation, airport and border procedures, as well as effective coordination among the various authorities and stakeholders involved.
🤝 Beyond the training itself, these sessions provided a valuable platform for professional exchange, collaboration and knowledge sharing among civil aviation professionals from different parts of the world.
