Asia is no longer simply responding to the international order, it is actively contesting and reshaping it. This panel will explore how leadership across Asia is evolving in response to these pressures. 2026년 1월 5일, 주대한민국 동티모르 대사 안토니오 데 사 베네비데스 각하 (António de Sá Benevides)는 헤라 캠퍼스에서 동티모르 국립대학교(UNTL) 신임 총장 조비아노 안토니오 다 코스타 교수 (Joviano António da Costa)와 예방 면담을 가졌습니다.
이번 만남에서는 양측 간 협력 가능성과 향후 발전 방향에 대해 개방적인 논의가 이루어졌으며, 미래 지향적인 협력 관계와 양국 국민 간 교류 증진의 중요성이 공유되었습니다.
이 자리에는 UNTL 한국학센터 수석대표 호세 비에가스
(José Viegas)와 공학부 대학원 과정 비서도 함께 참석하였습니다.

His Excellency António de Sá Benevides, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to the Republic of Korea, had a courtesy meeting with Prof. Joviano António da Costa, the newly elected Rector of UNTL, on January 5, 2026, at Hera Campus.
It was a very open discussion, leading to the exploration of new possibilities for the future and promoting people-to-people connections.
The meeting was accompanied by Jose Viegas, Chief Representative of the Center for Korean Studies UNTL, as well as the secretary of the graduate program at the Engineering Faculty.

Publication of the Korean–Tétun Dictionary

The Center for Korean Studies – UNTL proudly shares the remarkable achievement of the Publication of the Korean–Tétun Dictionary at Korea University.

The event was graced by the presence of H.E. António de Sá Benevides, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to the Republic of Korea, who expressed warm support and encouragement for this milestone in strengthening cultural and academic ties.

His Excellency also extended his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Professor Choi Chang Won for his outstanding contribution, dedication, and unwavering support in promoting friendship and cooperation between Timor-Leste and South Korea.

Finally, sincerely thank the team of authors and contributors of the dictionary whose hard work and commitment made this historic publication possible.

This publication represents not only an academic achievement but also a bridge of mutual understanding and collaboration between our two nations.
