The 1st Reunion of Alumni Association of Community Connections was organized in August 25-26th by Community Connections alumna Sanginova Dilobar and FLEX alumna Sanginova Omina. The participants were alumni of different US Department Programs including FLEX, UGRAD, Community Connections, Fulbright, JFDP, Humphrey, SABIT and came from different parts of Sogd region.
The event hold the name “Reunion for Inspiration” and was organized with the main aim to gather alumni of all programs to broaden networking and share experience. The alumni/representatives of each Program made presentation including information about their own program and success stories. Alumni also shared with useful information, links and programs with each other.
Besides, there were discussions about finding the solutions of mobilizing alumni of Sogd region. And according to this Solutions there were set obligations of attracting more active alumni of all programs for joint activities.

“Women Development Centers in Mountain Regions” , AEIF-2012

The project was designed to organize trainings with new technologies of canning fruits and vegetables. The main goal was to teach women from rural areas small business.

Back in 2008, there gathered several Alumni, who could attract other youth to help Orphanage of Disabled Kids at Pahtakor to repair a class and create a room where students could practice art and craft. That was a good chance for the students, since there were many talented kids among them. We started with $50 but later could fundraise $3000.
