Eligibility criteria:
• Must be a citizen of Tajikistan.
• Must be a full-time college or undergraduate university student
• If you studied in an English-speaking country, you are still eligible provided you are currently enrolled in a Tajik college or undergraduate university.
• As of 31 January, 2023, you must be older than 18 and no older than 25 years of age.
• Have pre-intermediate to advanced level of English
• If you participated in the 2021 or 2022 Spelling Bees, but did not compete in the Central Asian Spelling Bees in Tashkent and Bishkek, you are still eligible.

❗️Applicants who meet criteria mentioned above will receive an invitation letter to participate in the Spelling Bee event at American Space Khujand.

In this program, you will learn:

• Skills related to creative writing, such as how to write characters, dialog, and scenes;
• Further your English skills through a crash course on rhetoric and rhetorical devices, which will improve not only your creative writing abilities, but your communication skills as a whole;
• Work on a creative writing project of your own creation over the course.

Eligibility:
• 16+
• Pre-intermediate level of English and above

Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays from 3-4:30 pm

The wait is over! The AS Khujand is thrilled to announce its Volunteer Program for fall-winter term!

We are seeking highly motivated, creative and responsible volunteers to join our ASK fam for fall-winter term! If you’re eager to share your experience, expand your network, become skilled as well as contribute to community development – go apply for this program!

Eligibility:

• must be 16 years old or above;
• have at least pre-intermediate level of English;
• be able to dedicate at least 10 hours volunteering per week;
• eager to work with people of different age groups and background.

Responsibilities:

• Assist us in one of the departments: Administration, Social Media Management, English learning programs, Makerspace (STEAM related programs);
• Attend meetings and outreach events;
• Actively participate during trainings and arranged sessions for volunteers;

and…enjoy volunteering!

Deadline: August 25, 5 pm.

Workshops and Panel Discussion with FLEX Program finalists 2023-24 🤩

Do you want to spend a year studying in a high school in the United States? Interested in applying for the FLEX program but unsure of the next steps?

Join us on July 31 at 14:00 at American Space Khujand for a series of FLEX sessions with finalists about the application!

By joining the event, you will:
• Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the FLEX program application process

Visit of the U.S. Ambassador Manuel Micaller to the American Space Khujand.

We were delighted to host the US Ambassador this week and organized a tour which included introductory meetings with AS Khujand joint and regular programs’ participants, partner NGO YGPE representatives and Teen Talks followed by an award ceremony where AS Khujand’s volunteers received certificates of recognition from the Ambassador.

Innovative Job Fair | Моменты 🤩

Вчера прошло очередное Innovative Job Fair ‘23 которое является ежегодным мероприятием, направленное на подготовку молодежи к трудоустройству.

Мероприятие стало площадкой для получения информации о карьерных возможностях в ведущих компаниях, получения новых знаний, нетворкинга и собрало 200 человек.

The American Space Khujand organized its annual Innovative Job Fair which is aimed at helping youth become job-ready and connect with local companies.

The event gathered 200 attendees becoming a platform for gaining skills, getting information about available job positions and networking.
