Our grade 5 students have been working hard in preparation for the Primary Years Programme Exhibition Showcase, and on Friday they will share their learning with UWC Thailand families and the wider community.
Through their projects, students will present their inquiries, community engagement initiatives and the action they have taken around issues that are meaningful to them. The exhibition reflects months of collaboration, reflection and exploration as students deepen their understanding and consider how they can contribute positively to the world around them.

Reunited beyond the campus 🌏
Home isn't always a place — sometimes, it's a feeling.
At this year's Davis UWC Spring Celebration at Luther College, UWC Thailand alumni Phonnaphat (View, Class of 2024), Gigi (Class of 2022), Sabina (Class of 2022), and Eliano (Class of 2022) reunited with friends from across the UWC network, with the incredible opportunity to meet school counsellors from over 7 UWC schools.
Moments like these remind us what makes UWC truly special. A shared understanding that transcends borders, backgrounds, and graduation years, and connections that only grow stronger with time.
As View puts it:
"Being around UWC people, there's a shared understanding that comes from our similar backgrounds which allows us to appreciate even the smallest moments together. We're all different, but somehow we just fit. Everyone brings something that completes the community."
— View, UWC Thailand Class of 2024

We are thrilled to announce that UWC Thailand has received the ASEAN School Award for Experiential Education at the awards ceremony in Bangkok! 🏆
Kru Rob and Kru Heidi accepted the award on behalf of the hundreds of students, staff, families and community partners who bring experiential learning to life every single day.
This recognition celebrates not one programme or one event, but a whole-school culture where learning through experience is valued, planned for and truly lived. From outdoor education, expeditions and camps, to community engagement, student leadership and real-world projects, our community has built something extraordinary together.
We couldn't be more proud. Congratulations to the entire UWC Thailand community. 🎉💙

Recently, as part of their Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPX), a group of our grade 5 students organised the "Climb for the Gibbons" fundraising event in support of gibbon conservation. 🐒🌟
With around 45 climbers joining the challenge, the event brought together our UWC Thailand community for a meaningful cause. Thanks to the incredible support, the team not only reached their original goal of 65,000 baht to help build a new cage system, but raised approximately 80,000 baht in total.
Congratulations to Yingger, T**i, Patrick, and Mingqian for their teamwork, initiative, and commitment to creating positive impact through their learning experience at UWC Thailand.

Student Spotlight | Alex, grade 9 🏹
We're proud to highlight Alex, a grade 9 student at UWC Thailand, who recently represented Target Archery Phuket at the 4th Andaman Championship @ Satun, a prestigious tournament held under royal patronage of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand.
Competing against a strong regional field in the Recurve Under 18 Men category at 30 metres, Alex scored 614 out of 720, placed 8th in qualification, and advanced to the elimination rounds where he pushed his match all the way to a shoot-off, losing by just one point.
With over eight years of dedicated practice, this milestone reflects the focus, resilience, and discipline that archery and UWC Thailand stand for.
Well done, Alex. We're rooting for you. 🎯

“My time at UWC Thailand provided me with a strong foundation, both academically and in terms of personal growth. It shaped me to be an open-minded and service-minded global citizen and taught me to approach new challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. I’m incredibly grateful for the values and experiences I gained at UWC Thailand, which have shaped who I am today and continue to guide my path.”
Guilin, UWC Thailand Class of 2025, is continuing her learning journey through the SWU–Nottingham Joint Medical Programme (SWU-Nott), a six-year, English-language degree offered in partnership between Srinakharinwirot University (Thailand) and the University of Nottingham (UK). Beginning with pre-clinical studies in the UK and continuing with clinical training in Thailand, the programme offers a pathway into the medical field across two learning environments.
At UWC Thailand, students are supported in exploring future pathways through a broad and balanced learning experience, helping them identify directions that reflect their interests and strengths. Guilin’s journey shows how this continues beyond graduation. 🌟💙
