A good scene from the sea at Eastern Pakpanang, NST

Last week, we went to Pakpanang, NST to collect samples and some information. Local people over there told us, during that time, the government opened the big Watergate during the low level of seawater. The huge mass of water from the land goes into the sea including some waste water and other pollutants. It makes some sea creatures shocked like fish and prawns.

Before walking into the boat, I saw these interesting creatures on the leaf of Nipa palm. Local people told me these are some kind of oyster or clam.

This is a round fruit of Sonneratia ovata (Lythraceae) at Pakpanang, NST.

These are Acanthus ebracteatus - Acanthaceae from Khanom, NST. I took these photos on the second week of January, 2024. There are several kinds of leaf patterns of this plant.
