BLOCKS – Rose Room

This week, the Rose Room students had fun exploring the theme “Forest Animals and Plants” through a Blocks activity that encouraged imagination, creativity, and teamwork.

The teacher took the children to the activity area under the school building and divided them into two groups. Sitting together in a circle, the children were given building blocks and reference pictures of different living things found in the forest. Their challenge was to work together to create models that matched the shapes and colors shown in the pictures, including a red-and-white mushroom, a green-and-brown tree, a black snake, and an owl.

The children worked together to plan their creations, search for the right colored blocks, and carefully connect each piece until their models were complete. Through this hands-on activity, they developed observation, problem-solving, and fine motor skills while also practicing sharing, communication, teamwork, and helping one another.

The activity was filled with enthusiasm and cooperation as everyone contributed their ideas and efforts. Through this experience, the children learned an important lesson: “When we work together, everyone’s little ideas can come together to create something wonderful.”

SCIENCE – Jasmine Room

The Jasmine Room students had an exciting time taking their science learning outdoors through a hands-on experiment about “Soil Erosion and Water Runoff.” The children explored how plant roots help hold soil together and prevent it from being washed away by water.

The teacher began by inviting the children to fill one pot with soil. They then compared it with another pot containing a healthy plant with well-developed roots. The children took turns pouring water into both pots and carefully observed what happened.

They discovered that when water flowed through the pot containing only soil and no plant, the soil was easily eroded and carried away by the water, making the water collected in the basin dark and muddy. In contrast, the soil in the pot with a plant stayed together much better and was not washed away as easily. Through their observations, the children learned that plant roots help hold and support the soil.

This experiment was not only fun but also encouraged the children to observe, ask questions, compare results, and discover answers for themselves through hands-on learning. Everyone participated with great interest and cooperation.

Through this activity, the children discovered an important lesson about nature: “Trees not only provide us with shade, but their roots also help protect and preserve our soil.”

BRAIN DEVELOPMENT: Magnetic Rod – “The Magic of Imagination”

This week, the Orchid Room students enjoyed learning through play and creativity with colorful Magnetic Rods. The teacher invited the children to think, explore, and use their imagination around the theme of “The Forest.”

Working in small groups, the children carefully planned and connected the magnetic pieces while sharing their ideas and cooperating with one another. Each group created something unique and filled with its own story. Some groups created a bright sun shining over the forest, some built tall trees, while others imagined and constructed a mysterious cave hidden deep in the forest.

This activity was not only fun but also provided opportunities for the children to develop their imagination, creativity, planning, problem-solving, and teamwork skills through hands-on learning.

Every structure they created reflected their own ideas, imagination, and unique way of seeing the world.

CREATIVE ART – Sunflower Room
“Flower and Leaf Hair Craft”

This week, the Sunflower Room students had fun creating their own “Flower and Leaf Hair Craft” using natural materials such as leaves, flowers, and grass collected from around the school. The children were encouraged to use their imagination freely to design their own unique hairstyles.

The teacher began the activity by taking the children outdoors to explore the school surroundings and collect leaves, flowers, and grass. This gave them an opportunity to experience nature up close and connect their creative activity with this week’s learning topic. The children were excited to take part in every step, from searching for their own natural materials to using them in their artwork.

After collecting the materials, the children lined up and walked back to the classroom together. They then began creating their imaginative hairstyles by carefully inserting flowers, leaves, and grass into the holes prepared by the teacher. Each creation gradually developed into a colorful and beautiful hairstyle, reflecting each child’s individual imagination and creativity.

This activity was not only enjoyable but also encouraged imagination, creativity, observation, and hands-on learning. It also helped the children appreciate the beauty of nature, recognize the value of natural resources around them, and discover how materials from nature can be used in meaningful and creative ways.

MATH – Tulip Room

This week, the Tulip Room students had fun learning about “Subtraction within 5” through movement games and role-play activities. The teacher began by talking with the children about the meaning of subtraction and using simple examples to help them understand that subtraction means taking a certain amount away from the whole.

The children then enjoyed a game called “Little Animals and Subtraction.” They took on the roles of different animals according to the subtraction problems given by the teacher. For example, for “5 butterflies,” five children came forward and pretended to be butterflies. The teacher then asked, “If 2 butterflies fly away, how many butterflies are left?” Two little butterflies flew away while the remaining children counted how many were still there.

Through this hands-on experience, the children discovered the answer by themselves: 5 − 2 = 3.

The children also had fun pretending to be different animals, including birds, bears, and frogs, turning subtraction practice into an enjoyable activity filled with movement and laughter.

Throughout the activity, the children participated enthusiastically and worked well together. They practiced thinking, counting, observing, and understanding the concept of subtraction through real experiences, helping them develop a clearer understanding and greater confidence in basic subtraction.

COOKING – Daisy Room

In this Cooking activity, the Daisy Room students had a wonderful time learning how to make a delicious and popular snack, “Crispy Fried Enoki Mushrooms.”

The teacher began by introducing and preparing the ingredients together with the children, including crispy frying flour, enoki mushrooms, water, and cooking oil. The children were then divided into groups and worked carefully together to separate the clusters of enoki mushrooms, getting them ready for frying.

Next, the children took turns helping the teacher prepare the batter. Everyone paid close attention and was able to explain the cooking steps correctly. They then dipped the enoki mushrooms into the prepared batter before handing them to the teacher to fry until they became golden, crispy, and delicious.

The children also had the opportunity to observe and learn about the frying process closely, with the teacher providing careful supervision and guidance to ensure their safety.

This activity was not only fun and enjoyable, but also gave the children opportunities to practice teamwork, follow cooking steps, and develop a sense of pride in preparing food by themselves. At the end of the activity, everyone happily enjoyed the delicious crispy enoki mushrooms together with their friends.

ENGLISH WORKSHOP – Rose Room

This week, the children learned about “Forest Animals and Plants” through fun and engaging activities that encouraged imagination while helping them learn more about the natural world around them.

The teacher began the activity by taking the children to the vegetable garden and inviting them to imagine that “our vegetable garden is like a forest.” Pictures of different forest animals and plants were placed around the garden, allowing the children to explore and learn about the natural habitats of various animals and plants.

After developing an understanding of where animals and plants live, the children enjoyed a game called “Find the Forest Animals and Plants.” Each child took a turn revealing a mystery picture, while their friends worked together to search for the matching animal or plant. They then placed the pictures onto a prepared forest scene, gradually creating a lively and complete forest together.

Throughout the activity, the children were enthusiastic, cooperative, and supportive of one another. The learning environment was filled with fun, smiles, and excitement.

The children also created their own “Happy Forest” artwork by arranging and decorating pictures of animals and plants on their worksheets. This creative activity allowed them to express their imagination and create their own colorful forest while reinforcing what they had learned about forest animals and plants.

LIFE SKILLS – Jasmine Room

In this Life Skills activity, the Jasmine Room students learned about “Responsibility and Caring for the Environment” through a fun, hands-on gardening experience.

The teacher took the children to the vegetable garden and talked with them about ways to care for the environment and how to keep our vegetable garden healthy and thriving. The children began by working together to pull out grass and remove weeds from the garden beds. The teacher then demonstrated how to prepare rows for planting. After that, the children carefully planted vegetable seeds and gently covered them with soil, preparing a good environment for the seeds to grow.

The children also worked together to spread fertilizer around the base of trees throughout the school and watered the plants, learning how to care for living things with attention and responsibility.

Through this activity, the children not only learned how to care for plants and the environment, but also developed important life skills such as teamwork, sharing responsibilities, helping one another, and taking responsibility for their shared surroundings through meaningful, real-life experiences.

Outdoor Group Play – Orchid Room

This week’s Outdoor Group Play activity for the Orchid Room was filled with fun and laughter as the children enjoyed the exciting game “Bear Cave Adventure.”

The teachers took the children to the outdoor walkway and prepared a challenging adventure course with tunnels, hula hoops, and cones, giving the children opportunities to develop their physical skills through fun movement. Before beginning the adventure, the children were divided into two groups, and the teacher demonstrated how to complete each part of the course.

Then, our little bears began their adventure! They started by running and crawling through the tunnel, followed by jumping through four hula hoops. At the final station, they ran in a zigzag pattern around the cones with great enthusiasm and agility. Each child concentrated on completing the challenge and did a wonderful job maintaining their balance along the way.

This activity was not only fun and exciting but also helped develop gross motor skills, body coordination, balance, and teamwork. Through imaginative play, the children became little bears exploring the forest and making their way through their very own bear cave.

Mission accomplished! Well done, our amazing little bears from the Orchid Room!
