Classes are held in a spacious, cool country house in a walled and gated compound with gardens touching the lake much of the year. Step by step instructions are given by a fully qualified and experienced professional teacher in a serious but enjoyable way with a sprinkling of humor. Scenn’s offer includes spacious guest rooms and a small stage. The Western Forest Complex straddles the Thai Myanmar border. On the way to Sangkhla you will pass through part of this pristine wild treasure with it’s 11 national parks and 6 wildlife sanctuaries & two UNESCO World Heritage sites; home to over 150 mammal including Asian elephants, black bears, tigers, leopards, dhole, clouded leopard, sun bear, elephants, 10 species of primates (all five of the region’s macaques), gaur, banteng, water buffalo, tapir, and four of Thailand’s five deer species. Also recorded are nearly 500 bird species including peacock, 41 reptiles and 108 species of fish. You may not see all these species but you will be aware that Sangkhla shares the same natural environment.
