We cannot stop earthquakes.

Good seismic design is not simply about stronger concrete and more steel. It is about 𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 - all designed with one goal:
