Day 2 continued with an engaging session on Consumer Behavior in Digital Systems: Why Humans Don’t Behave the Way Engineers Expect conducted by Mr. Sascha Funk.

Participants explored one of the most fascinating intersections of data science, psychology, and marketing, gaining valuable insights into how real human behavior shapes digital experiences, decision-making, and technology adoption. A thought-provoking session that challenged assumptions and highlighted the importance of designing systems around people, not just technology.

Day 2 kicked off with an inspiring lecture-workshop on “Entrepreneurship Unlocked: Turning Ideas into Impact” led by Sam Hanna, Director of Business Development at the AIT School of Management.

Participants explored the entrepreneurial mindset, discovering how innovative ideas can be transformed into meaningful solutions that create real-world impact. Innovation came to life as our participants from USC Philippines 🇵🇭 explored two of AIT’s world-class research facilities!

The day began with an inspiring visit to AIT’s AI & Simulation Lab, where students discovered how artificial intelligence, simulation technologies, and cutting-edge research are shaping the future of industries and society.

Next, the group made a quick stop at the Hydraulics Laboratory, gaining insights into advanced water engineering, hydraulic systems, and sustainable infrastructure solutions that address real-world challenges.

From AI-driven innovation to engineering excellence, Day 2 provided a glimpse into the interdisciplinary research and global learning environment that make AIT a hub for future leaders and changemakers.

22July2026:🌏✨ A Warm Welcome to Our Global Immersion Program! 🇹🇭🇵🇭

We are delighted to welcome the students and faculty from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines, from various domains such as Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Science and Nutrition and Health, participating in the Global Immersion Program at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand!

The journey officially began with a warm welcome and arrival, followed by an orientation by Dr Ranadheer Mandadi, Program Director of the Global@Immersion Program, introducing AIT, student life, campus regulations, and the norms of living in our vibrant international community. These sessions help ensure that our guests are well-prepared for an enriching and memorable experience.

The day continued with an engaging introduction to Thai language and culture, by Dr Prapas, giving participants a glimpse into Thailand’s rich traditions, customs, and everyday expressions.

To wrap up an exciting first day, everyone explored AIT through a guided campus tour before enjoying a delightful early dinner at the campus cafeteria—an excellent opportunity to connect, make new friends, and begin this incredible international journey.
