7-11 September 2026: AIT Hosts NVSU Global Immersion Program.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) through the Office of the Special Degree Program (SDP), successfully concluded in hosting the Global Immersion Program: A Collaborative Overseas Digital Engagement (CODE) ~ Student Exchange and Technical Bootcamp Program with the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), Philippines during 7th to 11th of September 11, 2026. The program brought together participants, a mix of faculty coordinators and diverse students from Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, and Agricultural Biosystems programs, for a week of cultural exchange, academic immersion, and applied learning.

The program was a resounding success, blending academic rigor, cultural immersion, and professional development. Hoping that NVSU participants returned with broadened perspectives, practical skills, and strengthened networks, embodying their university's vision of global engagement and excellence. The program featured laboratory tours, hands‑on AI and IoT workshops, and machine learning applications in health data, complemented by cultural immersion activities such as Thai's unique culture and basic language orientation, science and technology museum visits, swinging by at the temple and a memorable Chao Phraya River luxurious dinner cruise.

22-28 July 2026: The Global Immersion Program held at the Asian Institute of Technology, brought together 40 students and 2 faculty members from various disciplines from chemical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science and Nutrition Dietary from the University of San Carlos (USC), Philippines for a week of academic, technical, and cultural engagement. The program featured seminars on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, leadership, financial technology, energy systems, and design innovation, complemented by laboratory visits and institutional exposure. Participants gained practical insights into emerging technologies, problem-solving, and international collaboration while also strengthening their leadership and communication skills.

Beyond academics, the program integrated cultural immersion through activities such as Thai language and cultural orientation, visits to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), IconSIAM, Ayutthaya Historical City and Chatuchak Weekend Market, and a luxurious dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River. These experiences provided participants with a deeper appreciation of Thai history, culture, and urban development. The program concluded with certificate awarding and a closing ceremony, marking a successful blend of professional development, technical learning, and cross-cultural exchange.

International Study Abroad Program – Cybersecurity & AI Data Analytics Bootcamp

22 June – 3 July, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand

Organized by the Office of the Special Degree Programs (SDP), within the 12 days intensive program, 60 students from the Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM), University of Engineering and Management (UEM) Kolkata, India immersed themselves in a transformative journey at AIT. The program combined lectures, labs, examinations, industry visits, and cultural immersion, offering both academic rigor and global exposure.

Program Highlights
Day 1: Arrival, welcome orientation, and Thai cultural introduction with Treasure Hunt GPS games

Days 2–5: Cybersecurity foundations with Dr. Aekavute Sujarae, covering basics, threats, exploitation, cryptography, and defensive architecture. Labs included reconnaissance, OSINT, hashing, web vulnerabilities, Wi‑Fi security, and capture‑the‑flag challenges.

Day 6: Final examination and free time for exploration.

Days 7–10: AI and Data Analytics modules with Dr. Chutiporn, Dr. Kantinee, and Dr. Pattama. Students learned business analytics, Python data cleaning, visualization, and advanced AI agent orchestration (multi‑agent patterns, memory, router, sequential, loop, and parallel agents).

Day 11: Final exam followed by an industry visit to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), showcasing energy innovation and sustainability. The day concluded with a cultural highlight: a luxurious dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River.

Day 12: Closing ceremony, certificate awarding, and send‑off with excursions to beaches and cultural heritage sites.

Outcomes
Technical Mastery: Cyber defense strategies, AI agent development, and data analytics applications.

Leadership & Teamwork: Group challenges, collaborative labs, and cross‑cultural exchanges.

Global Exposure: Industry visits, cultural immersion, and networking across borders.

Memorable Farewell: Certificates awarded, heartfelt reflections shared, and bonds formed that will last beyond the bootcamp.

Closing Note
The hardest part was saying goodbye. As participants departed, it was clear that nobody was truly ready to leave. They carried with them new skills, friendships, and unforgettable experiences.

Day 2 continued with an engaging session on Consumer Behavior in Digital Systems: Why Humans Don’t Behave the Way Engineers Expect conducted by Mr. Sascha Funk.

Participants explored one of the most fascinating intersections of data science, psychology, and marketing, gaining valuable insights into how real human behavior shapes digital experiences, decision-making, and technology adoption. A thought-provoking session that challenged assumptions and highlighted the importance of designing systems around people, not just technology.

🌍 Global Immersion Program | Day 2 with University of San Carlos (USC) Philippines 🇵🇭

Day 2 kicked off with an inspiring lecture-workshop on “Entrepreneurship Unlocked: Turning Ideas into Impact” led by Sam Hanna, Director of Business Development at the AIT School of Management.

Participants explored the entrepreneurial mindset, discovering how innovative ideas can be transformed into meaningful solutions that create real-world impact. Through engaging discussions and practical insights, students gained valuable perspectives on innovation, leadership, and the journey from concept to successful venture.
