Hosted and co-organized by AIT from 17 to 20 March, the summit unites global stakeholders to address the urgent challenges facing river deltas worldwide. Discussions will focus on environment, biodiversity, disaster and climate resilience, sustainable development, transboundary cooperation, and community-driven governance. The Summit aims to draft and deliver a White Paper to the United Nations for the operation of the emerging UN Convention for Conserving River Deltas (UNCCRD) contributing to a sustainable future for river deltas and their communities.

AIT joined the ITU Workshop on Digital Transformation for the Pacific in Suva, Fiji, where experts and policymakers discussed ways to advance digitalization in the Pacific.

Dr. Chaklam Silpasuwanchai, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies represented AIT by presenting his work on emerging artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies at a session on deploying emerging technologies for digital transformation.

Doctoral scholar Ms. Maya P. from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Sustainable Energy Transition Program at the AIT School of Environment, Resources and Development is at the forefront of energy transformation, pioneering blockchain-powered peer-to-peer electricity trading.
Her research envisions a future where communities seamlessly trade renewable energy, ensuring transparency, fairness, and sustainability. By integrating smart contracts, cooperative game theory, and behavioral economics, her work strengthens decentralized energy systems and contributes to SDGs 7, 11, 12, and 13.

The AIT Student Union (SU), in collaboration with Gender & Development Studies (GDS), Global Water & Sanitation Center (GWSC), AIT School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), and Gender Equality Movers Society (GEMS), is organizing International Women's Day (IWD) at AIT on 12 March 2025.
One of the event activities is a letter-writing initiative, providing an opportunity to honor an empowered woman. Participants are invited to share their stories and express appreciation through a heartfelt letter.
