🌍 Learning Beyond the Classroom Where We Are in Place and Time | PYP UOI Field Trip

🗓 22 July 2026 Primary 1/3 students from Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School participated in an educational field trip as part of their Unit of Inquiry (UOI): "Where We Are in Place and Time." The excursion provided authentic learning experiences that extended classroom learning into real-world contexts, allowing students to deepen their understanding through exploration and inquiry.

During the trip, students visited three significant cultural and historical landmarks in Phuket:
📍 Ya Chun–Ya Muk House
📍 Peranakan Museum
📍 Thalang National Museum

Throughout the visit, students explored Phuket's local history, traditional way of life, and rich cultural heritage. Through observation, questioning, investigation, and meaningful discussions, they gained firsthand knowledge while developing essential skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and making connections between the past and the present in alignment with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) approach to learning.

This learning experience reflects the belief that meaningful education extends beyond the classroom. By engaging directly with authentic environments, students become active inquirers, broaden their perspectives, and develop a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and historical heritage—essential qualities of internationally minded lifelong learners.

🗓 วันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2569 นักเรียนระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1/1 โรงเรียนภูเก็ตไทยหัวอาเซียนวิทยา ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมศึกษาแหล่งเรียนรู้นอกห้องเรียน ภายใต้หน่วยการเรียนรู้ UOI (Unit of Inquiry): "Where We Are in Place and Time" เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ผ่านประสบการณ์ตรง และเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้เชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้จากห้องเรียนสู่โลกแห่งความเป็นจริง

นักเรียนได้เยี่ยมชมแหล่งเรียนรู้สำคัญของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้แก่
📍 บ้านย่าจัน–ย่ามุก
📍 พิพิธภัณฑ์เพอรานากัน
📍 พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ ถลาง

ตลอดการเรียนรู้ นักเรียนได้ศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ท้องถิ่น วิถีชีวิต วัฒนธรรม และมรดกอันทรงคุณค่าของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ผ่านการสังเกต การตั้งคำถาม การสืบค้นข้อมูล และการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นจากประสบการณ์จริง ซึ่งช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ การสื่อสาร การทำงานร่วมกัน และการสร้างความเข้าใจในความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างอดีตกับปัจจุบัน ตามแนวทางการจัดการเรียนรู้ของ IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)

🐠🌊 Kindergarten 1/2 Students Explore Marine Life at Phuket Aquarium 🦀🐢

The Early Childhood Department of Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School organized an educational field trip for Kindergarten 1/2 students as part of the learning unit "Land Animals and Aquatic Animals." The activity took place on 20–21 July 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Phuket Aquarium.

During the visit, students enjoyed hands-on learning experiences by observing a wide variety of marine animals. They explored the names, physical characteristics, habitats, and lifestyles of different animal species through engaging and age-appropriate activities. The experience encouraged children to observe, ask questions, share ideas, and develop their curiosity while learning in a fun and meaningful environment.

The field trip also integrated essential learning skills, including language and communication, scientific inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and environmental awareness. Students were inspired to appreciate the importance of conserving marine life and protecting natural resources.🌎💙

🌈 STEM Education Week | Early Years Programme For Early Years (Kindergarten) Students

Phuketthaihua ASEAN Wittaya School is pleased to present STEM Education Week for Early Years students, providing young learners with opportunities to explore, experiment, and create through engaging hands-on activities. Designed to suit their developmental stage, the programme integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through play-based learning and real-life experiences.

Students will develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment.
