Flight Attendant - Case Study

A receptionist working in an office in Phuket Town wanted to join the cabin crew of an Asian airline. Firstly, she did a level test and had a chat with one of our teachers. Her level was A2 (Elementary). She needed to move up at least two bands to B2 (Intermediate). She worked through Headway to improve her grammar.
In order to secure the position she needed a TOEIC score of 650. She had done a test and scored 300. We worked through TOEIC practice tests, focusing on various listening strategies and methods and she managed to score 500 the next time around. Unfortunately this was not enough to get the job but she will try and again next year.
