Top 7 Wonderous Reasons to Host an Event in Phuket

Phuket is known for its powdery white sandy beaches, offshore islands, delicious Thai food and great hotels and it's a combination of these things that generates strong attendance for events held on the island. If you want to make sure everyone shows up to your next event, then stage your event in Phuket… Where business meets beach. And here are 7 reasons why Phuket is the perfect destination for events:

1. Easily Accessible – Location, location, location. You can’t meet there if you can’t get there, and Phuket ticks all the boxes with robust direct international airlift, regional connectivity and is an attractive add on for Bangkok events. Leading tourism expert Bill Barnett of C9 Hotelworks says “Phuket’s strategic geographic location and the rise of Thailand as one of the world’s major tourism destinations have helped drive the event sector. Within close proximity to Asia’s leading financial markets, Hong Kong and Singapore, Phuket is winner with regional corporate meeting planners, as well as longhaul attendees coming from Europe, North America, Australia and the Middle East.”

2. Great beaches – Kritsanee Srisatin, Founder & Managing Director of Stream Events Asia recommends “Business event programmes in Phuket should aim to include downtime exploring some of the best beaches and offshore activities to the nearby islands. Designated as a Gastronomic City by UNESCO, the island serves up delicious street food to Michelin starred restaurants and everything in between, so international delegates will always find something to their taste."

7. Sustainability – On the checklist for most event planners, Sustainability is at the forefront of action in Phuket. Bhummikitti Ruktaengam, President, Sustainable Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) commented that “To meet the growing urge to give back to the destinations we visit, and operate low-carbon footprint events, Phuket’s tourism industry provides event planners and participants with the opportunity to leave a lasting impact.” He added “Corporate social responsibility (CSR) can take many forms from turtle releases, tree planting and beach clean ups. And for socially responsible culinary experiences, where sustainability is on the menu with locally sourced produced, Phuket is committed to operating sustainable events that contribute to the environment and local community.”

ไมซ์ก้าวใหม่โคราช คว้าสิทธิ์จัดงาน Korat Expo 2029 มหกรรมพืชสวนโลกนครราชสีมา พ.ศ. 2572

นครราชสีมาสร้างผลงานไมซ์ คว้าสิทธิ์จากสมาคมพืชสวนระหว่างประเทศหรือ International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) เป็นเมืองเจ้าภาพจัดงานมหกรรมพืชสวนโลกระดับ A-1 ในปี 2572 ในชื่อ Korat Expo 2029

โคราชได้รับการสนับสนุนจากทีเส็บและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชนและภาคการศึกษาในนครราขสีมาและกรุงเทพให้เป็นผู้รับเลือกจัดงานหรือ registered candidate และได้เข้านำเสนอความพร้อมรอบสุดท้ายในระหว่างการประชุมของ AIPH ที่นครโดฮา กาตาร์ในวันที่ 6 มีนาคมนี้ จนได้รับมอบสิทธิ์เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน โดยมีกำหนดจัดงานระหว่างวันที่ 10 พฤศจิกายน 2572 ถึง 28 กุมภาพันธ์ 2573 คาดว่าจะมีผู้เข้าร่วมชมงานจำนวน 2.6 – 4 ล้านคน

การจัดงานครั้งนี้จะนำเสนอแนวคิด “ธรรมชาติและพรรณพืชเขียวขจี อนาคตแห่งโลกสีเขียว” (Nature and Greenery: Envisioning the Green Future) สะท้อนความมหัศจรรย์ทางธรรมชาติ ความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม และความเชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีพืชสวนและการเกษตรที่ยั่งยืนของประเทศไทย ถือเป็นงานสำคัญที่จะช่วยขับเคลื่อนทั้งในด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิ่งแวดล้อม ตอบสนองต่อพันธกิจหลักของ AIPH ในการส่งเสริมความสำเร็จของอุตสาหกรรมพืชสวนผ่านการปลูกพืชเพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต ร่วมพัฒนาสังคม และสร้างความยั่งยืนให้กับโลกสำหรับคนรุ่นนี้และรุ่นต่อๆ ไป

ลำดับถัดไป ไทยจะต้องเสนอตัวต่อองค์การนิทรรศการนานาชาติ หรือ BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) เพื่อให้ได้รับการพิจารณารับรองเป็น Certified License Host ของงาน เนื่องจากมหกรรมพืชสวนโลกเป็นงานระดับ A1 ตามเกณฑ์ของ BIE
