🔐🧩 FOBISIA Code Breaking Challenge

Our KS3 students have started this year’s FOBISIA Code Breaking Challenge, an annual competition taking place across FOBISIA schools this week.

Introduced during their Maths lessons, students have been putting their logic, problem-solving and mathematical thinking to the test as they work through the first challenges. ✨

From here, they can continue tackling more levels independently and see just how far their code-breaking skills can take them.

🔬✨ Exploring Enzyme Activity in Year 8 Science

Our Year 8 students took a closer look at the fascinating world of enzymes and the important roles they play in the human body.

Through a series of carefully planned experiments, students investigated enzyme activity, collected findings and applied their scientific thinking throughout the process. Along the way, they developed practical laboratory skills, collaboration and perseverance as they worked towards completing their investigations.

A great example of science coming to life through hands-on learning and discovery. 🧪💙

🌿💙 Learning Through Forest School

Forest School gives our children the opportunity to learn in a different way, through exploration, movement and hands-on experiences in nature.

As they climb, investigate, create and make their own discoveries, children are building confidence, independence, problem-solving skills and resilience, while also developing a deeper connection with the world around them. 🍃✨

Last week, our KS3 students brought MIT Week to a fantastic close after days of designing, building, testing and developing their ideas together.

From initial concepts to physical projects, students put creativity, problem-solving, communication and critical thinking into action, showing just how much can be achieved through collaboration and perseverance. 🔨✨

🦁💙 Little Lions | A Week of Play and Discovery

Another lovely week for our Little Lions, filled with play, exploration and plenty of smiles. ✨

From imaginative play in the playroom and sensory experiences to outdoor adventures in Forest School, each activity gives children opportunities to explore at their own pace, build confidence and develop important early skills through play. 🌿🎨

🌍📦 Landscape in a Box | Year 7 Geography

Our Year 7 students have been bringing geography to life through their “Landscape in a Box” presentations, creating individual projects inspired by different landscapes and geographical features.

The project has really captured students’ interest, and 10 students were invited to present their work to our Head of Secondary, sharing the thinking, research and creativity behind their designs. 💙

A fantastic opportunity to build confidence, communication skills and a deeper understanding of geography through a hands-on project.

🌿💙 Year 10 Outdoor Education | Final Day

Our Year 10 students wrapped up their Outdoor Education journey with another day full of hands-on learning, local culture and adventure.

From learning how to plant a tree and hiking through the surrounding area to cooking Tom Yum and making Thai coconut pancakes, students continued to explore new skills and experiences right until the very end. 🌱🍲✨

They were also warmly welcomed by the school they visited and received a thoughtful gift to remember the experience.

A wonderful way to end a week filled with discovery, challenge, new skills and memorable moments together. 💙
