เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา (24 - 27 สิงหาคม 2569) สาขาวิชาภาษาและวรรณคดีอังกฤษ คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ได้มีโอกาสต้อนรับ Assoc. Prof. Mahruba Mowtushi จาก Brac University ประเทศบังกลาเทศ ในฐานะนักวิชาการอาคันตุกะ (English below)

โดยทางสาขาวิชาฯ ได้ร่วมมือกับภาควิชาวรรณคดี และฝ่ายวิจัยและสร้างสรรค์ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ จัดโครงการ "Comparative Literary Studies in the Global South" ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 2 กิจกรรมสำคัญ ได้แก่:

โครงการนี้ช่วยเปิดมุมมองใหม่ๆ ให้เราได้เห็นวิธีการทำงานด้านวรรณคดีเปรียบเทียบ (Comparative Literature) จากมุมมองนอกศูนย์กลางอย่างเข้มข้นและน่าสนใจยิ่ง

Last week (24–27 August 2026), the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, had the pleasure of welcoming Assoc. Prof. Mahruba Mowtushi (Brac University, Bangladesh) as a Visiting Scholar.

In collaboration with the Department of Literature and the Research and Creation Division, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University, we successfully hosted two key events under the project "Comparative Literary Studies in the Global South":

On-Site Seminar: "Doing Comparative Literature from the South" (24 Aug 2026)
An insightful exchange on comparative literature methodologies from the Global South, featuring Assoc. Prof. Mahruba Mowtushi and Assoc. Prof. Verita Sriratana (Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University), moderated by Asst. Prof. Wanrug Dowson.

Public Lecture: "Sounding the Nation: Radio and the Making of Bangladesh" (27 Aug 2026)
A public lecture exploring the power of radio in nation-building and resistance by Assoc. Prof. Mahruba Mowtushi, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Kornphanat Tungkeunkunt.

These sessions offered valuable perspectives on practicing comparative literature beyond the frameworks produced at the centre in the Global North. ประชาสัมพันธ์รายวิชา LT488 Selected Topics in Literature ภาคการศึกษา 1/2569 นะครับ หัวข้อที่เราจะศึกษากันในเทอมนี้ได้แก่ Southeast Asia in Anglophone Literature โดยเราจะเน้นศึกษาตัวบทที่เล่าถึงเหตุการณ์ความทรงจำบาดแผลของประเทศต่างๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกมาศึกษาในคอร์สทั้งหมด 4 ประเทศ อันประกอบไปด้วยมาเลเซีย เวียดนาม กัมพูชา และไทยนะครับ

เรียนทุกวันอังคาร เวลา 13.30-16.30 ณ ห้อง SC2-306 รายวิชาไม่มี prerequisite สามารถลงได้ทั้งนักศึกษาเอกภาษาวรรณฯ (เก็บได้เป็นวิชาเลือก) และนักศึกษานอกเอกนะครับ นักศึกษาคนไหนที่สนใจลงทะเบียนรายวิชานี้เพิ่ม กรุณาติดต่ออาจารย์อานันท์ (อาจารย์ผู้สอน) ที่อีเมล [email protected] เนื่องจากมีเรื่องสั้นที่ต้องอ่านมาก่อนพบกันในคลาสแรกนะครับ สำหรับตัวบทที่เราจะอ่านกันในรายวิชานี้ นักศึกษาสามารถดูข้อมูลจาก description ของรูปภาพทั้งหมดได้เลยครับ

ประชาสัมพันธ์ถึงนักศึกษาศิลป์รวมรหัส 69 ที่ตั้งใจจะเข้าเอกภาษาวรรณฯ และต้องลงเรียนรายวิชา LT101 ในภาคการศึกษา 2569/1 เพื่อเข้าเอกนะครับ

เนื่องด้วยสาขาฯ จะจัด "กิจกรรมปรับพื้นฐานและเตรียมความพร้อมในการเข้าเรียน LT" ให้กับนักศึกษาเอกภาษาวรรณฯ รหัส 69 ในวันเสาร์ที่ 18 กรกฎาคม 2569 เวลา 9.30-16.30 ที่คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต (ดูรายละเอียดของตารางกิจกรรมได้จากลิงค์ด้านล่าง) หากนักศึกษาศิลป์รวมรหัส 69 ที่ประสงค์จะเข้าเอกฯ คนใดสนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม สามารถติดต่อแจ้งสาขาฯ ได้ผ่านทางอีเมลของอาจารย์อานันท์ ([email protected]) ภายในวันจันทร์ที่ 29 มิถุนายนนี้นะครับ (อย่าลืมระบุชื่อ-นามสกุลในอีเมลด้วยนะครับ) เมื่อนักศึกษาได้อีเมลแจ้งความประสงค์เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมมาแล้ว ทางสาขาฯ จะแจ้งรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมพร้อมทั้งส่งเอกสารประกอบการเรียนการสอนให้ต่อไปครับ
