Today, we officially launched the Project Management for Engineers training program for 12 delegates from Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC), Bhutan, at the Asian Institute of Technology.

Over the next five days, participants will explore key aspects of project management, including project planning and scheduling, cost estimation, project monitoring, digital tools, and innovative approaches for managing engineering and hydropower projects.

The first session introduced the fundamentals of project management for engineering projects and encouraged participants to share their experiences and challenges from real-world projects in Bhutan.

We are delighted to host this talented group of professionals and look forward to a productive week of learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

Strengthening Rural Connectivity and Agro-Logistics: AIT Extension Welcomes Nigerian Officials (🇳🇬)

AIT Extension warmly welcomed 16 officials from Nigeria, including the ILO Chief Technical Advisor, for the training program on “Rural Road Systems, Asset Management and Agro Logistics,” held from 7–13 June 2026 at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.

The program was officially opened by Mr. Voravate Chonlasin, Executive Director of AIT Extension, together with Dr. Bahul Shrestha, Senior Program Specialist, Program Director and Ms. Worawan Sumroetrum, Program Specialist.

This week-long program focuses on key areas such as rural road systems, road asset management, maintenance planning, and agro-logistics, with the aim of supporting better rural access, agricultural connectivity, and institutional capacity. Participants will also engage with Thailand’s experience in rural road development and related service delivery systems.

AIT Extension is delighted to host the Nigerian delegation and contribute to meaningful knowledge exchange for resilient and inclusive rural infrastructure development.
