This week, our school was delighted to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival! 🐉🌿

Through a variety of engaging activities, students learned about the origins, traditions, and cultural significance of this meaningful Chinese festival. Celebrating cultural diversity through authentic experiences is an important part of our learning journey.

To make the celebration even more memorable, students had the opportunity to taste traditional rice dumplings (zongzi) and explore the different flavours of this festive treat — from sweet to savoury. It was a joyful day filled with learning, cultural appreciation, and delicious experiences.

นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับที่มา ประเพณี และความสำคัญทางวัฒนธรรมของเทศกาลสำคัญของชาวจีน ผ่านกิจกรรมที่ทั้งสนุกและสร้างสรรค์ ซึ่งช่วยให้เด็ก ๆ ได้สัมผัสการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์จริง และส่งเสริมความเข้าใจในความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม

🌟 Our Headmaster, Mr Michael Chan, Shares Singapore Mathematics Expertise in Shanghai🌟

🎤 Our Headmaster, Mr Michael Chan, was invited to speak at the 7th Tangent Educational Forum held in Shanghai, China, on 13 June 2026. His presentation, titled "Supporting Students with Undeveloped Abstract Thinking to Learn Algebra,"focused on helping educators better support students who may struggle with abstract mathematical concepts.

📚 The forum brought together Mathematics teachers from international schools across China to exchange ideas and learn from one another. During Mr Chan's workshop, participants explored how the use of pictorial representations of algebraic concepts —an approach strongly advocated by Singapore Mathematics—can help students with developing abstract thinking abilities gain a deeper understanding of algebra.

🌍 Mr Chan is a much sought after speaker on Singapore Mathematics in Thailand, Shanghai, Chengdu, Sanya, and Singapore. Under his guidance, our KBH students are taught to think critically, solve problems with confidence, and develop a meaningful understanding of Mathematics.
