What happens when Dune meets Model UN? Grade 10 English Language & Literature students concluded their study of Frank Herbert’s Dune by stepping into the roles of the Great Houses of the Imperium. After analyzing key scenes and themes across multiple media, students researched, debated, negotiated alliances, responded to emerging crises, and worked together to pass resolutions in a dynamic Model UN simulation. A fantastic demonstration of critical thinking, communication, and collaboration in action.

What does music education at MYIS look like? 🎶 During Art Celebration Week, Grades 1 to 3 students shared their musical learning through performances that showed not only how their skills have grown, but their creativity, confidence, and passion for music.. Using the Orff approach to music education, students learn through movement, singing, speech, and instrumental play, actively engaging in music-making rather than simply learning about music. Through these hands-on experiences, they develop collaboration, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. We’re so proud! 💜

From tiny caterpillars to confident performers! 🐛🦋The EY Concert was inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where students showcased their musical talents and learning by singing, moving, coordination and musical play! Their performance celebrated not only music learning, but the wonderful growth and transformation that takes place throughout the year. Thank you to our young performers and we can’t wait to see you continue to spread your wings and grow! 👏

Grade 5 Crossing the Bridge ✨🌉We are beyond proud of our G5 students who took an important step forward today to commemorate the completion of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) journey and their transition into the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). Following the ceremony, students were warmly welcomed into the MYP by their House Teams, symbolizing the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with new opportunities, challenges, and discoveries. Way to go Grade 5 and see you in MYP next year.

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆 Our MYIS Boys Futsal Team made history by winning the Under 16 division at the Falcons Futsal 5's International Tournament 2026 in Chiang Mai! Congratulations to the team, as well as Putter for earning Best Goalkeeper and Wynn for being named Tournament MVP. An incredible achievement in MYIS Athletics' first-ever travel team competition.
