Most of what we see on social media is the highlight reel.
What people are good at, what they enjoy, what they’re winning at.
The blogger will show her coffee date with a friend — not the fight she just had with her partner.
We all do it, and I’m not here to justify it — just to be honest:
What we see on social is a personal choice, and that means it’s also our responsibility to remember it’s not real life.
I choose to follow flexibility influencers I admire — either because they inspire me or because their content just makes me feel good.
Nobody’s perfect, and everyone’s showing their best side.
But instead of complaining about how Instagram is a fake version of reality — I try to see it as an opportunity.
To learn something from each person’s best part.
Maybe it’s a girl who’s insanely good at flexibility and keeps my mind open to trying new things.
Maybe it’s a food creator who posts nothing but restaurants, vibes and laughs — and gives me a sweet break from my day.
Or maybe it’s my best friend, who’s currently living her best life.
Bottom line: there’s no point whining that Instagram is an illusion — of course IT IS. It’s not meant to be reality.
So here’s a little drop from my side — living my best life in the stunning views of Pai,
with a few wins, and a few challenges I’m still nowhere near “perfect” at.
