Our Kindergarten students recently had an exciting opportunity to become papermakers as part of their Science Materials Unit with the help of Ms. Celyne, the ES art teacher.

Through this hands-on learning experience, students explored how paper can be recycled and reused by tearing old paper, soaking it in water, blending it into pulp, and carefully forming new sheets of paper using molds.

This engaging investigation helped students deepen their understanding of the properties of materials and how materials can change through different processes. The activity also connected meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially Responsible Consumption and Production, as students discovered creative ways to recycle, reduce waste, and care for the environment.

Congratulations to Eve, Pre-K4, she participated in the World Dance Talent Competition 2026 (WDTC) as part of the Group Jazz Dance category for Junior Dancers ages 6 - 8.

We are delighted to celebrate that Eve and her group achieved 1st Place at the competition.

Her participation reflects confidence, dedication, and a wonderful passion for dance at such a young age. We are proud to see our students pursuing their interests and growing through the performing arts.

RISR proudly celebrates another major milestone as an IB Diploma Programme Authorized School, with preparations now underway for full IBDP implementation in the 2026-2027 academic year.

This achievement reflects our continued commitment to academic excellence through a complete Pre-K to Grade 12 pathway grounded in internationally recognized standards, rigorous academics, and student well-being.

Our Pre-K students recently transformed recycled boxes into a giant castle, bringing imagination, collaboration, and creativity to life through hands-on learning.

Students also explored painting and adding color to their creation, turning simple recycled materials into something truly special.

Beyond the fun and creativity, the activity encouraged students to think about sustainability and the value of reusing materials in meaningful ways, connecting to the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly responsible consumption and environmental awareness.

Experiences like this reflect how learning in the Early Years is rooted in exploration, creativity, and purposeful play.

In 1957, a school was founded in Bangkok with a vision that would stand the test of time. Ruamrudee International School began with four classrooms and one unwavering belief: that education, at its finest, shapes not just minds, but character, values, and futures.

Nearly seven decades later, RIS stands as one of Thailand's oldest and most respected international schools, fully accredited, globally recognized, and home to generations of alumni who have gone on to lead, create, and inspire across the world.

In August 2019, that legacy found a new chapter in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, with the opening of RIS Ratchapruek Campus.

Today, we gathered as a school community to celebrate RIS Foundation Day, honoring 69 years of excellence and reaffirming our commitment to every student who walks through our doors.

Elementary students attended the interactive performance Time-Traveling Harpsichord, presented at RISR by Ms. Ashley Moyles and Mr. Alberto Firrincieli.

Through live music and storytelling, students explored the connections between historical and modern music, discovered the influence of Baroque composers, and learned about the history and mechanics of the harpsichord.

At RISR, learning is thoughtfully supported through opportunities that connect students with specialists, artists, and professionals from the wider community. Bringing experienced practitioners into the learning environment allows students to engage more deeply with subjects while gaining inspiration from real expertise and passion in practice.

The session enriched students’ understanding of music while creating a memorable and engaging learning experience.

RISR students recently took part in an exciting 90-minute intensive futsal training session led by Thailand’s National Team Coach and his professional coaching team from Bluewave Chonburi Futsal Club.

From beginner fundamentals to advanced techniques, fast-paced drills, tactical gameplay, and teamwork challenges, students experienced the energy and excitement of professional-level futsal training firsthand. The session encouraged students to push beyond their limits, build confidence, think quickly, and grow stronger both on and off the court.
