The Central Chest Institute of Thailand successfully hosted the 46th TAVI–CCIT Workshop on December 3–4, 2025, under the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) Training Center program of CCIT-COE and CCIT-IAIP.
This workshop featured Live TAVI Cases, case reviews, CT interpretation sessions, and lunch symposiums highlighting new techniques and the latest device innovations, including updates on the Sapien 3 Platform and emerging frontiers in TAVI treatment.
The program brought together CVT residents, fellows, multidisciplinary clinicians, and international training participants from ASEAN countries, reflecting CCIT’s expanding academic collaboration and regional capacity-building in cardiovascular intervention.
Led by the TAVI-HEART TEAM – CCIT, the event reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence and strengthening Thailand’s role as an ASEAN Center of Excellence for TAVI training.

CCIT successfully organized the 45th TAVI–CCIT Workshop and the academic symposium “120 TAVI–CCIT : A Door Opening for the Future” on October 2–3, 2025.
The programs featured live TAVI cases, scientific discussions, and knowledge sharing among Thailand’s leading cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary heart teams.
The event also welcomed thoracic surgeons and cardiologists from Lao PDR and Vietnam, strengthening regional collaboration in heart valve innovation.
The symposium concluded with a celebration dinner marking 120 successful TAVI procedures, a testament to CCIT’s decade-long dedication to excellence and innovation in cardiovascular medicine — truly “A Door Opening for the Future.”

Train The Trainer Program: Heart Valve Repair Workshop
🗓 July 15–18, 2025 | 🏥 Prince of Songkla University, Songkhla
Organized by the Central Chest Institute of Thailand, Ministry of Public Health,
in collaboration with the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University,
and the Heart Care Foundation.
Led by Dr. Taweesak Chotivatanapong, Chairman of the Center of Excellence in Thoracic Diseases,
this intensive training featured live case demonstrations, in-depth discussions, and innovations in valve repair techniques — aiming to shorten operative time and support the development of minimally invasive surgery.
🔹 Workshop Highlights:
• Live Case Demonstration of heart valve repair (4 cases)
• In-depth analysis of Mitral and Tricuspid valve surgery
• Knowledge exchange on ICU care and excellence in postoperative management
• Academic and international collaboration through the CCIT-IAIP Program
👨⚕️ Over 70 participants from heart centers across southern Thailand — including Songkhla, Yala, Trang, Hatyai, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani, Phuket, and Walailak University —
joined by thoracic surgeons from Indonesia, Laos, and medical students from Slovenia and Portugal.
This workshop is part of a long-term mission to advance Thailand’s capability in heart valve surgery and ensure equitable, sustainable, and international-standard care for all patients. 💙
