❤️ CCIT Hosts the 6th Heart Care Heart International Symposium & Train the Trainer Annual Forum 2026

The CCIT International Academic Institute Program (CCIT-IAIP), Central Chest Institute of Thailand (CCIT) successfully organized the 6th Heart Care Heart International Symposium & Train the Trainer Annual Forum 2026, held from 6–9 August 2026 under the theme:

“Beyond the Horizon: Integrating Innovation and State of the Art in Heart Care”

On 6 and 7 August 2026, we were honored to have Dr. Khate Sripratak, Director of the Central Chest Institute of Thailand, deliver the welcome and opening remarks. Dr. Taweesak Chotivatanapong, Advisor to the Director of CCIT for International Training and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, delivered the opening report and highlighted the importance of international academic collaboration and continuous advancement in cardiovascular care.

🌏 48 Distinguished Faculty Members from 8 Countries

The symposium brought together 48 distinguished faculty members from eight countries, including Thailand: Japan, India, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Lao PDR, and Thailand.

The meeting was further strengthened by leading experts from the Central Chest Institute of Thailand, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, Khon Kaen University, Naresuan University, Walailak University, as well as the Train the Trainer network from nine institutions across Thailand.

Throughout the four-day meeting, participants shared knowledge and clinical experience while exploring innovations, advanced technologies, and state-of-the-art approaches in cardiovascular care and cardiac surgery. The symposium provided an important platform for translating knowledge into clinical practice and expanding expertise through regional and nationwide healthcare networks.

The 63rd Train the Trainer Program: Mitral & Tricuspid Valve Repair Workshop was successfully held at Sakon Nakhon Hospital, bringing together expert faculty and multidisciplinary teams to share advanced surgical techniques, live case demonstrations, and real-world clinical experience.

From hands-on learning to international collaboration with participants from Lao PDR, this program continues to strengthen cardiac surgery networks across ASEAN 🌏

The Central Chest Institute of Thailand successfully hosted the 46th TAVI–CCIT Workshop on December 3–4, 2025, under the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) Training Center program of CCIT-COE and CCIT-IAIP.

This workshop featured Live TAVI Cases, case reviews, CT interpretation sessions, and lunch symposiums highlighting new techniques and the latest device innovations, including updates on the Sapien 3 Platform and emerging frontiers in TAVI treatment.

The program brought together CVT residents, fellows, multidisciplinary clinicians, and international training participants from ASEAN countries, reflecting CCIT’s expanding academic collaboration and regional capacity-building in cardiovascular intervention.

Led by the TAVI-HEART TEAM – CCIT, the event reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence and strengthening Thailand’s role as an ASEAN Center of Excellence for TAVI training.

CCIT successfully organized the 45th TAVI–CCIT Workshop and the academic symposium “120 TAVI–CCIT : A Door Opening for the Future” on October 2–3, 2025.

The programs featured live TAVI cases, scientific discussions, and knowledge sharing among Thailand’s leading cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary heart teams.
The event also welcomed thoracic surgeons and cardiologists from Lao PDR and Vietnam, strengthening regional collaboration in heart valve innovation.

The symposium concluded with a celebration dinner marking 120 successful TAVI procedures, a testament to CCIT’s decade-long dedication to excellence and innovation in cardiovascular medicine — truly “A Door Opening for the Future.”
