Happy Songkran Festival 💦💦
“Songkran” (สงกรานต์) is the traditional Thai New Year, starting from April 13 extended till April 15. The Songkran celebration for Thai people begins with merit-making. They often go to the local temples and offer food to Buddhist monks. They also perform water-pouring on Buddha statues. The young usually pour water on the hands of the elderly for blessings. Later on, they will have fun with water splash on each other.

Valentine’s Day in Thai: “wan wa-len-thai (วันวาเลนไทน์)” or “wan hang khwang rak (วันแห่งความรัก)”.

Quand on veut admettre qu'on a tort, on dit tout simplement:
🔶 kho-thot kha/khrap chan/phom phit eng
(ขอโทษค่ะ/ครับ ฉัน/ผมผิดเอง)
Le mot 'eng (เอง)', mis toujours à la fin, est pour souligner que c'est soi-même et non pas les autres.

When you admit that it's your own mistake, you simply say:
🔶 kho-thot kha/khrap chan/phom phit eng
(ขอโทษค่ะ/ครับ ฉัน/ผมผิดเอง)
The word 'eng (เอง)', always put at the end, is to emphasize that it's oneself and not others.

Where are you going for New Year’s Eve countdown?
🎉 เคานต์ดาวน์ (khao-dao) is a transliteration for ‘countdown’ , in Thai it means นับถอยหลัง (nab thoi lang)
🎉 วันสิ้นปี (wan sin pi) => New Year’s Eve

🔶 "khat mai thueng (คาดไม่ถึง)" est une expression qui signifie une surprise. Cela peut être utilisé dans les cas positifs ou négatifs. Normalement, c'est à quoi on ne s'attendait pas.
