New students who wish to use Google Workspace for Education must first register at https://gap.mahidol.ac.th/. Once registered, you will be able to access Google Drive, Google Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other Google Workspace services.
📝Registration Steps
• Step 1 – Visit the Website: Go to https://gap.mahidol.ac.th/.
• Step 2 – Register with Your Mahidol University Account: Log in using your account in the format firstname.lastname(3-letter surname).mahidol.ac.th.
• Step 3 – Confirm Your Registration: Your Google Workspace for Education account will be created automatically within 24 hours.
• Step 4 – Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Strengthen your account security by enabling two-step verification. You will need to verify your identity using two methods before signing in to your account.

📣NOTICE OF CHANGE TO EMAIL ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
For Students, Academic Year 2026 (Student ID starting with 69 onward)
🛡MFA SETUP REQUIRED FOR MICROSOFT 365
To strengthen account security and prevent unauthorized access, the Division of Information Technology, Mahidol University is updating the sign-in requirements for Microsoft 365. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be mandatory for all Academic Year 2026 students (Student IDs starting with 69 onward).
⏰🗓EFFECTIVE: AUGUST 17, 2026 ONWARD
What Happens When You Sign In
If you have not yet set up MFA, you will be prompted on-screen to complete MFA setup immediately when you sign in. You will not be able to access your email until setup is completed.
What You Need to Do
1. Install the Microsoft Authenticator App
Download and install Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device (available for iOS and Android).
2. Follow the Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Scan the QR code to complete MFA setup for Microsoft 365 step by step.
💡Quick Tips
● Set up SMS (text message) one-time passcode (OTP) as a backup verification method, for convenience in case you are unable to use the Microsoft Authenticator app.
● Do not delete or uninstall the Microsoft Authenticator app.
