The second round of applications for the research-based PhD Program in Medical Physics and Medical Engineering (Academic Year 2026) is now open. Two tuition fee-waiving scholarships are available for qualified candidates.

Prospective applicants are highly encourgaed to contact our faculty members in advance to explore potential PhD projects and discuss research interests and alignment.

✨ That’s a wrap on the Geant4-DNA International Tutorial 2026! ✨

From 18–20 March 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring and intensive Geant4-DNA International Tutorial at Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Bangkok, Thailand.

Over three days of lectures and hands-on sessions, participants explored:
🔹 Geant4 fundamentals
🔹 Dosimetry in water phantoms
🔹 Geant4-DNA physics, chemistry, and biology
🔹 DNA damage and repair at the molecular level

A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding lecturers for generously sharing their expertise, and to all participants for your enthusiasm, curiosity, and active engagement throughout the tutorial. Your contributions truly made the discussions vibrant and meaningful.

We are also deeply grateful for the collaboration and support from our academic partners, which made this international learning experience possible.

🌏 The event welcomed 50 participants from diverse backgrounds and countries, including Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, the USA, and the Czech Republic, creating a rich environment for scientific exchange and networking.

We look forward to seeing how the knowledge and connections built during this tutorial will continue to advance research and innovation in radiation physics and radiobiology. 🧬✨

📢 New Publication Alert

We're pleased to share the latest research published by Sanhanat Chaibura, PhD student, entitled "Predicting DNA damage yields and assessing beam quality for protons and carbon ions using a DBSCAN algorithm" in Scientific Reports.

🔬 What does this work contribute?
This study introduces a simple and biologically meaningful framework for predicting DNA damage caused by proton and carbon‑ion radiation, which is highly relevant to particle radiotherapy.

Overall, the approach provides a biologically grounded alternative to conventional LET‑based metrics, with potential implications for treatment planning and optimization in particle therapy.
