A great start to the 12th APPU Postal Business Forum today!

APPU Secretary-General Dr Vinaya Prakash Singh extended a warm welcome to all the CEOs, postal leaders, and partners, followed by an inspiring keynote from UPU Deputy Director General Mr Marjan Osvald. 🎤🌐

Today's sessions were dedicated to the CEO's Forum, fostering high level dialogue by top leadership from the region and beyond on the future of the postal and logistics sector.

We were honored to host nearly 200 delegates, representing 35 postal administrations and 35 companies across technology, logistics, e-commerce, financial services, and innovation. 🏢📊

This year’s Forum is our largest and most diverse edition yet—a testament to the confidence of postal operators, partners, and industry leaders, and our shared commitment to shaping the future of the sector. 🌟🔍

The Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) was privileged to host nearly 35 CEOs and senior leaders at the CEOs Roundtable, held yesterday, 1 December 2025, in Bangkok. 🌏🤝
With the theme “Postal Business in Transition: Strategy, Growth, and Partnerships,” the Roundtable highlighted how the Asia–Pacific region reflects the global postal ecosystem—rich in diversity, driven by innovation, and evolving at remarkable speed. The discussions brought together leaders from across our region as well as international postal organizations beyond Asia–Pacific, underscoring the truly global nature of today’s postal landscape. ✨📦

The APPU sincerely appreciates the presence of all attending CEOs and senior postal leaders. 🚀📮

On the occasion of 2024 and the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union UPU, the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh inaugurated the Smart Classroom in the Asian-Pacific Postal Union- APPU which was established with the support of India Fund at the UPU. Secretary General Dr. Vinaya Prakash Singh welcomed the dignitaries to the function and Ms Ariya Thongbai, UPU Field Project Expert for Asia-Pacific delivered the World Post Day message. The Chair of the Governing Board of the Asian-Pacific Postal College was represented by senior officials of Thailand Post บริษัท ไปรษณีย์ไทย จำกัด. The Smart Classroom will enable the APPU to enrich and enhance its capacity-building initiatives.

APPU is attending the Regional Round Table on Remuneration for the Asia-Pacific Region, at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The round table will discuss the proposed remuneration system for 2026-2030, which will be finalized during the UPU Dubai Congress in 2025.

We thank Mongol Post for being an excellent host of the event and wish all member countries meaningful deliberations in the days ahead.

to the opening plenary of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union- APPU Executive Council meeting 2024, held last Monday. The Council discussed several matters of importance to the Union including activities, finances, and future plans for the Union. In the plenary, UPU presented the details about the activities and projects in the region.
