Last but not least, we wrap up this sunny Friday at KIMA with a refreshing watermelon smoothie party, lovingly made by older kids in the CASA classroom. The cool, sweet drink was the perfect treat, and even more special as they shared with the toddler classroom after their nap time. A joyful and refreshing way to end the week!
เราปิดท้ายวันศุกร์สดใสที่ KIMA ด้วยปาร์ตี้สมูทตี้แตงโมปั่นอันแสนสดชื่น ที่ตั้งใจทำขึ้นด้วยความรักจากพี่ๆห้องชั้นเรียน CASA เครื่องดื่มเย็น ๆ หวานสดชื่นนี้จัดเป็นของว่างยามบ่ายที่เลิศมาก และยิ่งพิเศษขึ้นเมื่อได้แบ่งปันให้กับน้อง ๆ ห้องเด็กเล็กหลังจากเวลานอนกลางวัน เป็นการจบสัปดาห์ที่ทั้งสนุกสนานและสดชื่นอย่างแท้จริง!

Thank you very much to the staff of the Andaman Cultural Center in Krabi for warmly welcoming our little KIMA children. The kids were excited to see the beautiful lights of the museum and colorful beads, and they truly enjoyed observing how the beads are made, along with the stunning paintings on display. It was a lovely and enriching Friday experience, making it a perfect start to the weekend.

In our KIMA Montessori toddler classroom, children joyfully engage in a variety of hands-on activities that support both fine and gross motor development. From gardening and exploring nature to gluing small pieces of paper and leaves, and measuring rope along different shapes and materials, each experience encourages movement, coordination, and creativity. These activities help strengthen small muscles in the hands as well as larger body movements, while also building concentration, problem-solving skills, and independence. Through meaningful play and exploration, children develop confidence, body awareness, and essential skills that support their overall growth and development.

Over the past few weeks at KIMA, we have been learning about different parts of the home. We talked about the bedroom and made small beds using boxes, foam, and fabric, while our activity leader created a full bedroom set for the class. Students had fun acting out things we usually do in our bedrooms, such as waking up, turning on the lights, packing up toys, and sitting at the desk. We also learned about the kitchen, and children brought a utensil they like for show and tell. In addition, we talked about the garden or yard and the outside of the house, and students brought something from their yard to share with the class during show and tell. 🌟🏠
ในช่วงที่ผ่านมา เด็กๆห้องโตชาว KIMA ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับส่วนต่าง ๆ ของบ้าน เราได้พูดคุยเกี่ยวกับห้องนอน โดยเด็กๆได้จำลองทำเตียงเล็ก ๆ จากกล่อง โฟม และผ้า และผู้นำกิจกรรมของเรายังได้จัดทำชุดห้องนอนให้กับเด็กๆ ซึ่งต่างสนุกสนานกับการแสดงท่าทางกิจกรรมที่เรามักทำในห้องนอน เช่น การตื่นนอน การเปิดปิดไฟ การเก็บของเล่น และการนั่งที่โต๊ะ นอกจากนี้ เด็กๆยังได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับห้องครัว โดยได้นำอุปกรณ์เครื่องใช้ในครัวที่ตนเองชอบมานำเสนอและเล่าให้เพื่อน ๆ ฟัง แถมสัปดาห์ก่อนหน้านี้เด็กๆยังได้พูดคุยเกี่ยวกับสวน สนามรอบบ้าน และบริเวณด้านนอกของบ้าน โดยได้นำสิ่งของจากสวนหรือสนามของตนเองมาเล่าแบ่งปันกับเพื่อนๆอีกด้วย

The Montessori Method emphasizes learning through hands-on materials that children can touch, move, and explore. Instead of only listening to lessons, children actively engage with objects such as counting beads, sand paper letters and numbers. These materials help children understand abstract concepts through real experiences. Using hands-on materials supports the development of independence, concentration, problem-solving skills, and fine motor control. It also encourages children to learn at their own pace, building confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The Montessori classroom includes a variety of practical life materials that help children develop fine motor skills and independence. Activities such as using ladles and spoons, pouring water, squeezing and using a sponge, using tweezers with beads and working with dressing frames strengthen hand–eye coordination and finger control. These hands-on tasks also teach children important self-help skills like dressing themselves and cleaning up spills. Through repeated practice, children build concentration, confidence, and independence in their daily activities.
ห้องเรียนมอนเตสซอรีของเรามีสื่อกิจกรรมชีวิตประจำวันหลากหลายรูปแบบที่ช่วยพัฒนาทักษะกล้ามเนื้อมัดเล็ก และความเป็นอิสระของเด็ก ๆ กิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เช่น การใช้ทัพพีและช้อน การรินน้ำ การบีบและใช้ฟองน้ำ การหนีบลูกปัด รวมถึงการทำงานกับกรอบการแต่งตัว ได้ช่วยเสริมสร้างการประสานงานระหว่างมือกับตาและการควบคุมนิ้วมือ ซึ่งกิจกรรมที่ได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจริงเหล่านี้ยังสอนทักษะการช่วยเหลือตนเองในชีวิตประจำวันของเด็กๆ เช่น การแต่งตัวด้วยตนเองและการทำความสะอาดเมื่อทำน้ำหก เมื่อผ่านการฝึกฝนซ้ำ ๆ เด็ก ๆ จะพัฒนาสมาธิ ความมั่นใจ และความเป็นอิสระในการทำกิจวัตรประจำวันของตนเองได้ในที่สุด

At KIMA , recently we have learnt about prepositions and practiced using them in conversations. We talked about things that are in and out, places that are near and far, and objects that are on, under, and between other things. For our Show & Tell activity, each student brought a box with something they wanted inside it. During the activity, we described whether the object was in the box or out of the box. It was a fun way to learn and practice prepositions!

In the Montessori approach, the phrase “Help me to do it myself.” is not merely a beautiful sentence, but a fundamental principle of child development from birth through the school years.
Allowing a child to “do it by themselves” is true development. When children develop their motor skills through their own efforts—without being rushed or delayed—they learn the limits of their bodies, become cautious, and gain inner stability.
When children are given freedom accompanied by responsibility, they not only learn effectively, but also grow into complete human beings who will contribute meaningfully to society in the future. (Montessori Association of Thailand)

Besides our usual Montessori cycle, the KIMA kids recently learned about the calendar through a fun show-and-tell activity. They also explored basic language concepts like pronouns and adjectives, and practiced using words such as this, that, these, and those in everyday conversations.
นอกเหนือจากกิจกรรมในชั่วโมงมอนเตสซอรียามเช้าแล้ว เด็ก ๆ KIMA ของเรายังได้เรียนรู้เรื่องปฏิทินผ่านกิจกรรม Show & Tell ที่ทั้งสนุกสนานและสร้างสรรค์ และสัปดาห์นี้ยังได้เรียนรู้แนวคิดพื้นฐานทางภาษา เช่น คำสรรพนามและคำคุณศัพท์ รวมถึงฝึกใช้คำว่า this, that, these และ those ในการสนทนาในชีวิตประจำวันอีกด้วย

Recently, the KIMA children learned about the topic of celebrations and explored their personal timelines, sharing special moments from when they were babies up to now. They enjoyed talking about their memories, looking at pictures, and learning about each other’s lives. The classroom was full of smiles and excitement, and everyone had a lot of fun learning together. 😊
สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านๆมา เด็กๆชาว KIMA ได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับหัวข้อ การเฉลิมฉลอง และได้สำรวจ ช่วงเวลาชีวิตของแต่ละคน โดยแบ่งปันช่วงเวลาพิเศษตั้งแต่ตอนเป็นทารกจนถึงปัจจุบัน เด็ก ๆ สนุกกับการพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับความทรงจำของตนเอง การดูรูปภาพของกันและกัน และยังได้เรียนรู้เรื่องราวชีวิตของเพื่อนๆอีกด้วย บรรยากาศในห้องเรียนต่างเต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ้มและความตื่นเต้นของเด็กๆ
