International Kindergarten
About Our School:
Thailand English Academy and International Kindergarten is located in Laem Mae Phim, a quiet beach-side resort popular with Scandinavian and Thai families as well as expats from Bangkok. We are a small boutique preschool with four
classrooms holding groups from 3-6 years old, in a beautiful shaded area close to the beach, surrounded by trees and lakes.
Our background with Language and Pre-Schools in Brazil and Thailand has given us experience with delivering the highest quality education in a bilingual environment. We teach predominantly in English, although we have Thai teachers and assistants to help where required. Our Approach:
Our curriculum is made to stimulate all areas crucial to the development of young minds. We teach through a mixture of creative play, group work and individual projects that help children progress with enthusiasm through all the core skills of a rounded education. Children learn through games, activities, and structured
learning, developing their knowledge and problem solving skills as well as their imaginations. A rounded education would not be complete without learning key social skills such as sharing with others, taking turns, learning when to be expressive and when to be quiet and listen. Because of this, the children are supervised with as much care during breaks as class time. This is key to developing the social and emotional skills of a well balanced child (e.g. good manners, good hygiene and good interpersonal relations). We also are aware of the need for involving parents in their children’s education, keeping them informed of any important developments and sending children home with a project book so parents can follow along with their child’s progress. Our Kindergarten Teachers:
We will have qualified and experienced native English-speaking teachers, as well as a qualified and experienced Thai teacher. In addition we will have experienced specialist teachers come in to teach subjects such as music, dance, yoga, and others. Every class will have a Thai assistant, and in the near future we will have a Swedish teacher running classes in Swedish language, literacy and culture. English as a Foreign Language:
