วันที่ 7 สิงหาคม 2569 ทางสถาบันวิศวกรรมชีวการแพทย์ สาขาวิชาชีวเวชศาสตร์และวิศวกรรมชีวการแพทย์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ได้ต้อนรับ รศ.ดร.สราวุธ คำปวน จากสถาบันวิศวกรรมชีวการแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ (BMEi) และได้แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้งานวิจัย บัณฑิตศึกษาและการสร้างความาร่วมมือกัน ตลอดจนได้พาเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการวิจัยวิศวกรรมชีวการแพทย์

Today, 6 August 2026, the BME graduate program participated in the Annual Health Research International Conference 2026 (AHRiCON 2026) at the RI-MeT building, the Faculty of Medicine, PSU. There are several academic activities including a keynote lecture, invited lectures and research presentations.
Our BME program invited Assoc.Prof. Sarawut Kumphune from Biomedical Engineering Institute, Chiang Mai University to be an invited speaker. He talked about "From full-length SLPI nano engineered peptides: A new paradigm for biomedical application".
Also our BME lecturer, Dr. Jermphiphut Jaruenpunyasak talked about "Resilience and Equilibrium in the age of generative AI: Shaping the future of medicine".

In July 2026, at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Medicine ( ), we hosted many visiting scholars.
1. Prof. Goran Stojanovic from the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) for a gaitREHub secondment
2. Ms. Madalena from KU Leuven (Belgium) for PSU inbound internship
3. Ms. Vinosha and Mr. Hao Yi from the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia) for PSU inbound internship
4. Ms. Ivana and Mr. Stefano from CoAImed company (Italy)for a gaitREHub secondment

We took them to several facilities at the hospital and BME laboratories, including the rehabilitation center and PO unit.

Also, Ms.Madalena presented her internship experience at the end of her internship - this week.

On Monday 13 July 2026, Prof. Goran Stojanovic from the faculty of technical science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia gave a special lecture to our BME students. The topic was "Wearable Technology and Edible Sensors". He also shared his research experience which was fascinating and motivating to us. His visit to our program is a part of the project supported by EU Horizon Europe.

กิจกรรมดีๆ น่าร่วม GaitREHub Seminar เรื่อง Wearable Technology, AI and Entrepreneurial Innovation ระหว่างวันที่ 12-13 มีนาคม 2569
งานนี้มีนักวิจัยจากทั้งมหาวิทยาลัยและบริษัทในเอเชีย ยุโรป จำนวน 17 ท่านมาร่วมแชร์ประสบการณ์และเล่าเรื่องราวที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการนำเทคโนโลยีแบบสวมใส่ (wearable technology) และปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) มาประยุกต์ใช้กับทางการแพทย์ อีกทั้งการผลักดันงานวิจัยออกสู่การเป็นผู้ประกอบการ

GaitREHub Seminar on Wearable Technology, AI, and Entrepreneurial Innovation
12–13 March 2026

This seminar will feature 17 researchers from universities and companies across Asia and Europe who will share their experiences and insights on applying wearable technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in medical applications. The event will also highlight pathways for translating research into entrepreneurship and innovation.

The seminar will be held in a hybrid format (Onsite and Online).
There is no registration fee, but online participation is limited. The deadline is 5 March 2026.
