Semla – the Swedish ‘‘King Killer” (English below) 👑 🇸🇪
รู้จัก เซมล่า ความอร่อยของขนมสวีเดนที่คร่าชีวิตกษัตริย์

🏰 🍽️ เรื่องราวเกิดขึ้น เมื่อวันที่ 12 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2314 ณ พระราชวังในสวีเดน สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีอดอล์ฟ เฟียดริกแห่งสวีเดนทรงพระเกษมสำราญเสวยพระกระยาหารค่ำเป็นอาหารทะเลร่วมกับแชมเปญ สำหรับเครื่องหวานนั้น พระองค์ได้เสวยขนมเซมล่าไปถึง 14 ชิ้น ซึ่งไม่กี่ชั่วโมงต่อมา พระองค์ก็สิ้นพระชนม์ด้วยอาการเส้นพระโลหิตในพระสมองแตก อย่างไรก็ดี ขนมเซมล่านั้นเป็นเครื่องหวานที่ทรงโปรดปรานที่สุด จึงถือว่าสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีฯ สิ้นพระชนม์อย่างทรงพระเกษมสำราญ เรื่องก็เป็นเช่นนี้แล⚰️

ขนมเซมล่า เป็นขนมอบสวีเดนแสนอร่อย ประกอบไปด้วยขนมปังก้อนกลมทำจากแป้งสาลีนุ่ม ๆ แต่งกลิ่นหอม ๆ ด้วยลูกกระวาน และใส่ไส้อัลมอนด์บดเนื้อเนียนนุ่มและวิปครีมสุดละมุน 😋

วันนี้เป็นวัน “อ้วนอังคาร” หรือ fettisdagen ซึ่งเป็นประเพณีในการทานเซมล่าในสวีเดน 🇸🇪 ท่านทราบหรือไม่ว่า ในวันนี้วันเดียวมีผู้ซื้อเซมล่าไปรับประทานถึง 6 ล้านชิ้นในสวีเดน

ที่สถานทูตนี้ เราโชคดีมากที่มีเซมล่าไว้ทานในช่วงฟิก้า (การพบปะกันเพื่อดื่มกาแฟหรือชาของคนสวีเดน)☕

🏰 🍽️ It’s dinner time at the royal castle in , February 12th, 1771. King Adolf Frederick of Sweden had just indulged in a seafood feast and champagne. For dessert he had no less than 14 semlas. A few hours later he died of a stroke. Semla was the King’s favorite dessert so he died happy, or so the story goes. ⚰️

Semla –this delicious Swedish pastry, consist of a small wheat bun, flavoured with cardamom and partially filled with smooth almond paste and fluffy whipped cream. 😋

Today, on Fat Tuesday or fettisdagen, is the traditional day to eat semla in Sweden. An approximate 6 million buns will be sold just this day all around Sweden.
