What an outstanding performance at the MUPA MFA Recital 2025, titled "Essence and Reminiscence"! This event featured two MFA students, Han Wang and Peiya Yang, who showcased their musical talents by sharing their stories of love and personal journeys through music and the performing arts, drawing upon their professional backgrounds.

The recital was enhanced by excellent guest artists, including Pakorn Kanlapakornchai, Yossaphol Komkham, and Akarapon Choengkray, particularly music composer Sakchai Charoensuksanan.

The MUPA MFA Recital is the result of creative work and practice from the class "Cross-Disciplinary Integration for Music and Performing Arts Innovation." In this course, students learn to view the world through the lens of arts and cultural values. With the support of their instructors and staff, students produced this remarkable event to share with the public.

Peiya Yang felt an overwhelming sense of awe when she visited the ocean for the first time in Qingdao during her youth. Ever since then, she has had a desire and dream of living in a city with an ocean view. Her appreciation for the vastness and beauty of the ocean fills her with awe, serenity, and a sense of possibility. The expansive horizon of the sea continues to evoke feelings of both wonder and humility. It compels her to reflect on her relationship with the universe, reminding her of how small yet deeply connected we are within the broader natural world.

As an artistic expression, she wishes to share her memory of the sea through a performance for children who have never seen it. She hopes they might experience it as she did, with a flute performance accompanied by piano, performed by Pakorn Kanlapakornchai. The performance will also feature Nang Yai, presented by Akarapon Choengkray, a performer from the Wat Ban Don Troupe. The piece is titled "Sea and Soul," composed by Sakchai Charoensuksanan. This performance is part of the MUPA MFA Recital 2025, "Essence and Reminiscence," which will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 6 PM. The recital will be held at MU Hall, Music and Performing Arts Center, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Burapha University.
