On September 5, 2026,
Xavier Learning Community (XLC) in Chiang Rai hosted and prepared the venue for the “Karen Traditional Wrist-Tying Ceremony.” The event was organized in collaboration with students from Mae Fah Luang University and Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, with most of the participants coming from Xavier Learning Center. The wrist-tying ceremony is a beautiful Karen tradition passed down from generation to generation. It represents love, unity, blessings, and good wishes for one another. During the ceremony, the priest and elders offered prayers and blessings to God. The elders then tied traditional white strings around the wrists of all the students as a symbol of blessing and goodwill. Then, the event also featured traditional music and Karen cultural performances, and it concluded with everyone singing the Karen ethnic anthem together.

ศูนย์การเรียนรู้เซเวียร์ เชียงราย เป็นเจ้าภาพในการเตรียมสถานที่สำหรับจัด “พิธีผูกข้อมือตามประเพณีของชาวกะเหรี่ยง” โดยมีนักศึกษาจากวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงและมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน และมีนักศึกษาและผู้เข้าร่วมจากศูนย์การเรียนรู้เซเวียร์เป็นส่วนใหญ่ พิธีผูกข้อมือเป็นประเพณีอันงดงามของชาวกะเหรี่ยงที่สืบทอดจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น สื่อถึงความรัก ความสามัคคี การอวยพร และความปรารถนาดีต่อกัน โดยในพิธี พระสงฆ์และผู้ใหญ่จะร่วมสวดมนต์และขอพรจากพระเจ้า จากนั้นผู้ใหญ่จะผูกข้อมือให้แก่นักศึกษาทุกคน ภายในงานยังมีกิจกรรมการแสดงดนตรีพื้นเมือง การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมของชาวกะเหรี่ยง และปิดท้ายด้วยการร้องเพลงชาติพันธุ์กะเหรี่ยงอย่างพร้อมเพรียงกัน
