ศุภพงศ์ เหล่าธีรศิริ ศิลปินนิทรรศการ “ล่องใต้ขึ้นเหนือ” ที่นำผลงานของเขา “ไม่ระบุชื่อ (ภูเก็ต, 2568)” จากไทยแลนด์เบียนนาเล่ครั้งล่าสุด กลับมาจัดแสดงที่เชียงรายบ้านเกิดของเขา ศุภพงศ์ จะมาเล่าถึงกระบวนการพัฒนาแนวคิดและการทำงานในภูเก็ต พร้อมทั้งนำชมนิทรรศการโดยเปิดให้พูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดอย่างเป็นกันเอง

โครงงานศิลปะนี้ได้รับคัดเลือกให้จัดแสดงที่ ศาลเจ้ากะทู้ ศาลเจ้าจีนที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในภูเก็ต ศุภพงศ์รวบรวมวัสดุที่ผูกพันกับวิถีชีวิตของผู้คน ทั้งอาหารสำเร็จรูป ถ้วยโถโอชาม และข้าวของที่พบได้ทั่วไปตามตลาด นำมาจัดวางให้หลุดพ้นไปจากความหมายเดิมของมัน เพื่อสำรวจพรมแดนระหว่างศิลปะกับสิ่งสามัญธรรมดาในชีวิต ชวนเรามองและประกอบความคิดต่อสิ่งเหล่านั้นขึ้นมาใหม่ด้วยตัวเอง และช่วยเปิดพื้นที่ให้กับเรื่องราวการมาอยู่ร่วมกันของผู้คนจากหลากหลายวัฒนธรรมที่เดินทางมาแสวงโอกาสให้กับชีวิต นับตั้งแต่อดีต มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน กลวิธีในการสร้างงานชิ้นนี้เป็นผลลัพธ์จากการสั่งสมประสบการณ์และพัฒนาวิธึมายาวนาน จนเขาสามารถพลิกผันตัวงานให้สร้างความหมายใหม่ได้ไม่รู้จบ เสมือนละอองดาวที่พร้อมจะเกาะเกี่ยวกันเป็นเทหวัตถุได้ทุกชนิดในอวกาศ

ศุภพงศ์ เหล่าธีรศิริ
เกิดที่จังหวัดเชียงราย เมื่อปี 2528 สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ศิลปบัณฑิต (จิตรกรรม) เกียรตินิยมอันดับหนึ่ง จากคณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ในปี 2552 และระดับปริญญาโท Master of Fine Art with Merit จาก The Glasgow School of Art ในปี 2561 ปัจจุบันเป็นอาจารย์ประจำคณะสถาปัตยกรรม ศิลปะและการออกแบบ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง
ศุภพงศ์ เป็นศิลปินสหวิทยาการที่ใช้สื่อและวัสดุหลากหลายรูปแบบในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะ โดยมักมุ่งเน้นไปที่แนวความคิดและการตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับความคลุมเครือของความหมายและความเข้าใจ ผ่านการรับรู้ การตีความ และการนิยามความหมาย ผลงานของเขาได้จัดแสดงในนิทรรศการทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ อาทิ สหราชอาณาจักร เยอรมนี เกาหลีใต้ และไต้หวัน

Supapong Laodheerasiri, artist of the current exhibition “Heading South and Heading North,” brings his work “Untitled (Phuket, 2025)” from the recent Thailand Biennale back to his hometown of Chiang Rai. In this talk, he will share the concepts and fieldwork behind the project in Phuket, followed by an exhibition walkthrough and an informal conversation with the audience.
Hangpui Art Space, in collaboration with Art Bridge Chiang Rai and Buddhist Art, Mae Fah Luang University, cordially invites anyone interested in conceptual art and artistic exploration to join us. Admission is free.

Untitled (Phuket, 2025)
was chosen for display at Kathu Shrine, the oldest Chinese shrine in Phuket. For this piece, he gathered everyday objects deeply intertwined with local ways of life—such as packaged foods, tableware, and goods found in local markets—and arranged them to strip away their original meanings. By doing so, he explores the boundaries between art and the ordinary objects of daily life, inviting viewers to look closer and reconstruct their own interpretations of these materials. The installation also opens up a space for the stories of people from diverse cultures who have traveled to seek new opportunities and build lives together, spanning from the past to the present. This creative approach is the culmination of years of practice and methodological development, allowing him to reconfigure the work to generate infinite new meanings—much like stardust in outer space, ready to coalesce into any cosmic body.

Supapong Laodheerasiri
He was born in Chiang Rai, Thailand, in 1985. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting (First Class Honors) from Faculty of Fine Arts, CMU, Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2009 and graduated with Master of Fine Art with Merit from The Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom in 2018. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Art, and Design, KMITL, in Bangkok.
Supapong is also a multidisciplinary artist, who works across various mediums and materials. His work adopts a conceptual approach to draw out questions about the ambiguities of meanings and understanding, such as through perceptions, interpretations, and definitions. His artworks have been exhibited both nationally and internationally, in places such as the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea and Taiwan.
