To Assistant Professor Dr. Wanwalee Inpin, lecturer at the School of Social Innovation,
on being awarded research funding from The Sumitomo Foundation, Japan 🇯🇵
to lead the project:
“Development of Community Water Storage System for Flooding Mitigation: Learning from Japan’s Rain Garden to Build Community Resilience in Thailand”
under the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mae Fah Luang University and The Sumitomo Foundation.
💧 This project aims to promote community-based water management for flood mitigation by adapting Japan’s rain garden concept to the Thai context, fostering resilience and sustainability.
