Allan is a Thai-Colombian student joining Dartmouth College’s Class of 2023 in the fall. At ICS, he went above and beyond to take a total of 11 AP courses, from Biology & Chemistry to World History & French. Among these, he found his primary interest lay in STEM subjects and thus hopes to major in Biochemistry at Dartmouth.
Alongside science, Allan is interested and involved in a wide range of other areas in and outside of school. He enjoys reading, music, playing basketball, and spending time with his friends in any “free time” outside his huge list of involvements. He is in the school band as well as the orchestra, and even got involved with a musical! On the service side of things, he started & led various volunteering projects and taught English to marginalized children. Allan spent his senior year in various leadership positions, including Vice-President of Student Council.
Compared to many others, Allan’s university application journey was rather compressed and involved seeking out financial aid opportunities for international students. He is looking forward to sharing his unique experience, and useful resources that helped him through the process, with you on June 10th!
